The DOgs were a basket case at the end of last year. They lost their CEo their coach and their Captain. They booted out Higgins and a bunch of others wanted out. No one wanted to go there and coaches pulled out of interviews because they didn't want to kill their career, PLease don't tell me they were well ahead of us. Its simply not true. Really? Couldn't disagree more. The last person we should be hearing from is the president.Too many big mouth presidents say the wrong thing at the wrong time and create way too much angst that becomes a story in its own right.Knee jerk reactions we don't need. All to make you feel better? The footy dept knows what's wrong. If they can't fix it in season they need to make list changes. If they can't get it right soon they will be in the firing line. No amount of president pulpit screeching will fix this by next week.

This is your best ever post. Both of those incidents happened in the first quarter. Garland was atrocious. Gifted Roo 2 goals because he didn't pay him any respect at all. When he flew for the contest I was screaming at him to get back on Roo. He is a dumb footballer and is the top of my list to go. Dunn did a few dumb things as well. Again in the 1st when the heat was on he was alone on the members wing as the ball was being kicked around the outer wing into St Kilda's fwd line. No guesses to see whose opponent scored a goal. We are the dumbest laziest football team going around. So many times you could see what was going to happen 15-20 seconds ahead of the ball and yet we couldn't get back to cover off a man or corral their team into a pocket. We are simply unable to trap the ball inside our fwd 50. OUr centre clearance work is abominable yet the number of times the Aints streamed out of the middle was unbelievably frustrating. We can't hit targets, Our 'structures' are laughable. The coaching is bad. There isn't a lot of hope when last years wooden spooner beats us twice in 6 weeks. I'd like to hear from the Roos fan bois about what is going on? The Saints and Dogs have gone past us. Aside from Carlton and an injury reduced Gold Coast we have gone backwards. We have not improved. I am over this club.

Disagree. Players will get tired and "stay at home" in their positions more. More contested or one on one footy. Would be the best thing ever. The interchange has stuffed up the game because players can presently run up and down the field all day - ergo more can get to stoppages. For 20 yrs every rule change was designed to speed up the game for TV. They butchered 100 yrs of evolution for telly. Cutting the interchange is the easy and logical choice to cut down on congestion.

Equalisation aint working carlton. Gifted 6 Friday night games, blockbusters, big drawing home games etc The AFL is fast becoming a basket case where the heartland is being lost. The 'fight' against soccer and rugby is being lost because of the arrogance of headquarters. A healthy competition is required and you can't have that without the fixture and stadium deals being sorted. The two are inextricably linked. TV should be told to shove it. They will jump at broadcasting because it is critical to their ad selling. I bet the AFL and broadcasters are thrilled at Hawks v Carlton last night. Its pretty simple. a) They either know what was injected (and if they did and it was legal believe me we would know by now); or, b) they don't know - and that is probably worse because they used young players to experiment with unknown drugs. EIther way they have cheated the system and should pay more than they have and the people in charge wiped out and banned for life. Their behaviour ALL the way along this sage is despicable.
