It's the first game in a long while where the umps have not been a factor. Hardly noticed them.

Is averaging 20 disposals a game. Has improved a lot with his decision making. I have not been a fan in the past but to his credit he is doing a lot of right things this year.

Lumumba has been outstanding the past two weeks. His 2 best games for the club. Tyson won't be dropped and they won't drop brayshaw after bringing him in this week. So I think you are way off the money.

His goal on the run was outstanding. Was right behind the bench and saw him run on . It was a joy to watch..

Brayshaw had 20mins off with a concussion test so played reduced minutes...

Got what wrong? He was a liability for a good number of years because of his his lack of appetite for a contest. It's fantastic that he has finally added a physical dimension to his great skills. Seriously, pionkers like you who say 'oh, I've always been a fan, Anyone who he has criticised him in the past blah blah blah' annoy the living daylights out of me. He did start in 2009 you know. It's his 8th year on the list. He was dropped for the last game in 2015 you know - not because he was shooting the lights out.

In fairness they do have a lot of those small quick types: Fasolo, Blair, Elliott, Oxley

Agree it was a real team performance. Loved the gut running. Loved the pressure in the first half. The Pies ratcheted up the pressure in the 3rd but we withstood it well. A lot of composure. Hunt was great in his first game and Wagner and Harmes were good as well. It is fantastic to see pressure, effort and trust. They really trust each other and honour leads etc. Something we haven't seen in a decade. Was very comfortable half way through the second quarter that we had this game won. I have never felt like that with a Melbourne side.

The pies have only won 3 out of the last 14 regular season games. They are actually playing some pretty bad footy....I reckon that has slipped under the radar a bit....

Last week the scoreline was bad but our contested footy and stoppage work in the first quarter was pretty good...just sayin....

The umpires were about as bad as they get. When will the AFL do something about the unbelievable hometown advantage the Western Australian teams get? It's blindingly obvious yet no-one in the media is prepared to put their job on the line by commenting about it.

And any team beaten by Melbourne will automatically be 'in crisis'......

Every team thinks they can beat Melbourne because we create turnovers and we have been soft in the past and fold very easily. Until we can shake that then it will happen.

Dunn and McDonald help in the ruck? Didn't Cloke kick 7 straight last year? I think we need a solid plan on him. He saves his best for us. And the way we are playing our new zone defence would preclude wholesale changes to the backline like you suggest I would think. maybe Frost to play on Cloke because he can move up the ground, is fast and strong. We also lose very little offensively by having him lock down on Cloke.
