Watch the game and have a look at his impact. I wouldn't have thought it needed saying that its not about disposal numbers. Josh Gibson regularly gets low disposal numbers. Do you think the Hawks would omit him for it? Or Cyril....

It will be the Swans 3rd game in about 5 weeks that is played in really boggy conditions. Can't be good for their fitness...
-
6 day break, pizzing with rain (have seen anywhere between 20mm and 40mm forecast)...they will make changes. Younger players out harder and fresher bodies in. Can see grimes getting a game, ANB and maybe even MJones....

When I looked at the forecast this afternoon it said 40mm to 60mm of rain!!!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
jnrmac replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
Only 8 more weeks before he begin training..... -
ha ha he farked it up but then kept going hoping we wouldn't see it. The replay then showed that he just made a fool of himself...
-
neither were the commentators or the Melb crowd. It was a very important fwd thrust in the 1st qtr when we were behind - this is how the umps can kill games.
-
I disagree. I thought they had the better early we had the better later. Overall it was about even. The one to Cox in the last was a complete joke as was the missed free for BenKen when he was coathangered.
-
It was lower than that but he was held/blocked illegally. Absolute free kick ignored by the ump.
-
Collingwood were very fierce at the contest. The ground may have been poor but they played it much better.
-
Agree. The point being only one or two have done that.
-
To be fair a face mask would be handy so as not to have to look at some of those Pie supporters.............
-
I think its fair to say that Petracca's blind turn will put to rest any query on his knee being fully recovered.....
-
Who was it that had their arms chopped by a Pie player running at full tilt the other way. Stopped a huge fwd thrust at an important time and most likely a goal. Think it was in the 1st qtr.... And why was Hogan's head bandagaed?
-
Sorry but that's a lame response. Name the posters other than picket who have written Oscar off? I don't think you can name more than three. Plenty that think he shouldn't be learning his craft in the seniors but writing him off? That's overreach and hysterical rhetoric.
-
Wow. 13 players there that didn't play on the weekend against the Pies. That's a lot of changes. 16 if you include the emergencies.
-
Just kick it long ha ha. So its you in the crowd shouting that SoNS????
-
Good game from TMac today. The defence worked well after qtr time.

Sam THE MAN Frost (defender extraordinaire)

And Tippet probably won't get up...he's out for 6... -
Its picky but I sometimes think he dishes the ball off too quickly to the first option when he could look up and choose a better one. I suspect that will come with experience. He's an awesome package for a 4/5 gamer...
-
Well you'd also be pleased that we have beaten them 3 times in the past 18 games!!
-
Thought it was very poor of Collingwood to leave the ground before the medal/cup was presented to Gawn. Very poor sportsmanship and an insult to Neale Daniher.
-
There is merit in what you say but you can't turn these things on and off. There is a lot of planning goes into them. In an ideal world we have our own side in a nice suburb
-
I think he was alluding to that........

I like Maxwell's assessment. Jack Watts won a contested possession within his first 20 seconds on the ground. The next one was three years later... (just kidding...) But its a different perspective for sure,..
