  1. Surely there are laws against public pubic purses....... Or as the Americans call them 'fanny packs'
  2. Van demon out, unleash the beast - like for like (and maybe a little better!)
  3. http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/port-adelaide/port-adelaides-china-announcement-to-go-beyond-football-as-prime-minister-sa-premier-and-afl-chief-join-travel-party/news-story/6d2777f5cba8c721b2806bd0fdf841e1 Good to see the AFL and the political leaders throwing their weight behind Kochie (please note 'sarcasm') 5 years or so after we started the boat! Finally get China Southern on board 2 seasons ago and it appears we have been blindsided by head office with 2 years of backroom deals
  4. At what point does he become 'Sulk' Hogan.......
  5. All this garbage about types - we need good players period. Is Prestia a gun? Yes..... We will find a spot for him if he wants to come and we can do the deal. If we have depth in a certain type then great - if that means we end up losing a good player who wants a trade for opportunities then guess what we will get another good player in return
  6. Congrats ET - you just won the internet today. I'm going to be giggling like a schoolgirl for the rest of the day!
  7. I would very much entertain the idea of playing him early against the bombers only because it should be a soft opening - clubs have done it against us for the last decade bringing blokes in early as the saw us as a slightly more competitive VFL side. That's how it looks with Essendon right now. If his fitness test numbers - are on par with the better midfielders and he just is a senior player - I don't necessarily see the point in him playing in the Magoo's. Back the kid
  8. Yep Sue you're on the money with the Pedders shot at goal. Yet VDB gives away a 50 on the wing for running about 9 metres inside their bloke - both were slightly odd
  9. Can't stand the [censored]. However, he does sum up the general public apathy towards our club. Outside of those astute enough to realise we are on the up, the general bogan thinks we're a basketcase still. It's going to be lovely sticking it right up a few this year - they will still be making excuses about losses to us for the majority of the year, before the average idiot cottons on to it
  10. Moved up to North Queensland over Summer - enjoying the lovely tropic heat at present...... Starting to get really [censored] excited about round 1! First time in a long time to be excited about the upcoming season. Can't wait to finally see some consistency and more importantly regular wins - starting this week with a tough uncompromising beat up of the soulless franchise
  11. Hey Bob, sorry if what I wrote the other didn't quite come across quite right. But this is exactly what I was alluding to. And the article from Jay perfectly sums it up from my end. So I don't think I was all that wide of the mark
  12. Imagine if Steve Stretch did that.... he might have put some bulk on at some point!
  13. Kinda getting getting sick of this garbage that's being trotted out about the attacking plan being all Goodies doing, and only due to him being in the box. It as if the senior coach has completely left the building.... No the plan from the minute Roos entered that it was all about turning lover the list, shoring up the defence then the coming phase is starting the attack build. It is going to plan. That we appear to have some competence to follow Roos is brilliant, but all part of the plan. The coaching over Summer and the praccy matches is a group effort and for numpties like King to trot out this crap, just looks like cheap shots at Roos for the sake of it
  14. http://m.afl.com.au/news/2016-03-18/tigers-taking-on-pies-in-bid-for-new-stadium Much better idea coming out of Tiger land. Wouldn't be opposed to Punt rd being fully rejigged as the boutique stadium that is required. Might be a few issues for them in regards to grandstands and heritage listing. The Dees should get on board as this could totally upgrade the vicinity and improve our training facilities, and gives us a viable option when playing home games against soulless franchises with no supporter base. All in the shadows of our real home ground
  15. Lions giving the giants a little touch up at present 30 to 13 at quarter time in a first quarter that looks terrible. Both sides going in slow motion. If this is it for the giants they're not going to worry us in rd 1. Stevie J looks well past it or perhaps just like a bloke getting a retirement cheque and not giving a duck about a praccy match
  16. http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/jack-watts-hopes-to-sort-new-deal-with-melbourne-despite-lure-of-free-agency/news-story/5531b40c36b785bf1956b99f306a034a "WATTS ONLY WANTS TO BE A DEMON" Amazing the difference a headline makes. Same quotes from the same interview but a sane reporter at Fox Sports that doesn't jump at shadows to get a clickbait headline
  17. One of the good guys. Very fond memories of him running around for the cattery. Getting sick of these stars being taken prematurely.
  18. Yep - and we haven't had any for decade, while the likes of Hawthorn, Geelong etc have had 6 or 8. Time for us to start the rise and be recognised during the rise - can honestly see the 4 above this year and then the extra's to come
  19. End of year 50 - Jones Vince Hogan Gawn unless injured - then circling around could be a couple of others (Brayshaw, Rising star favourite Tracca, Viney..... ) hell if things go well we actually might have a handy team this year!
  20. No but he'll have a thumping headache after being KOd in the first Minute
