Reckon you may just be right Pickett. Although I do like him running and linking from half back, and continuing along. He's not an 'out here' guy like Langdon, who is able to hold position in space. -
There is always the other possibility of the boundary umpires jogging it back to the centre....

I like it. Reminiscent of Victoria playing both Gaz senior and dunstall out of the goal square. Obviously BB and weid are no ablett and dunstall - but gee the thought is awesome thoroughly unpredictable with the like of kozzie sweeping in behind if both prongs head out fast

Realistically Nev needs to transition into a coaching role over the next 2 years. Body looks basically shot. Playing coach in The 2s with the occasional call up as needed should be his role with a view to full time coaching/player welfare after. love for that to be with us. Perhaps he also needs to see inside another club (ie like the hawks shipping off hodge/Lewis and Sammy to get that precoaching experience outside of glenferrie oval) to make the most of his playing career

At his best he is very good. But spends far too much time being invisible. weid Jacko picket fritta melky avb petracca (brown if we end up with him) all in front of him in the forward line pecking order. Then there’s hunt and spargo not too far behind him. if there is value in the trade then yep let him go

Why? Merrett out has been on the cards just as long as Saad out. Danners is was never staying after last year's trade fiasco. They have a whole scale rebuild on their hands - for the new coach

Same effort as Port game. both games 4 day break - both games weak as [censored]. this game travel from Alice to bubble, bubble to cairns. Port game travel as well on short break not sure where the blame lies - not recovered enough, not mentally strong enough, not motivated enough vs not good enough/coaching/selection my guess is recovery/mental as opposed to ability and coaching
