If only he had have stayed fit. On his day the best I have seen as a forward in the red and blue. The filth hated him more then anything and wasn't it good when he turned it on against them! Agree re lyon and being the heart and soul of the side. Also not a bad side in that day!

I'm not worried. They have two matches against Richmond to come, and the one at Subi should be theirs for the tanking. That probably reads better!

Thought he played a pretty good game on SAT. His biggest issue is that he is effectively competing against grimes, bennell, cheeny etc for a spot off half back. Probably the hardest spot to get atm

Our Backline is OK so martin to continue to develop as a forward. I think your spot on re cheney, maybe if Jmac does not come up after that horrible knee twist/bend he could be a chance. Robbo and LJ are both a chance for this week.

Probably agree with freak re watts + best. But people don't give up hope he is going to be a gun. I have a feeling in years to come what we have done with watts and conditioning will become the norm for under 18.5yr old players. this is the 2nd game I have seen from him and there is something that jumps out about him..... He always hits his target by foot and Good decision making. The other two great things that came out of yesterday in my eyes were the form of Jurrah and Hughes. Jurrah I think is a realistic outside chance of getting a snr game on monday for us. yes he is raw etc etc etc but played a very good 4Q performance. Ditto Hughes, backed up from a couple of weeks ago and IMO deserves an elevation mid year. I thought he had twice the impact of watts on the day yet missed the best???? On a side note we turned up about 5-10min into the 1st Q and spencer was in full kit on the boundary line yet did not site him. Did he play in the 1's? did he get injured?

If each club was limited to 1 free agent and tight control on salary of these players then it could work. But why change? what is currently done works and the odd J$dd case will still happen if they want it badly enough. So therefore free agency is nothing more then greed from the top 1 or 2% of players. Like they are hard up for a dollar!

Thank goodness it will be his last! He should be marketing it to get the colling#$% army there rather then condeming it. If there is only one more game that we win for the year I hope its this one and give them a real touch up while we are at it.

Good to see that good form = reward (bell and jamar for that matter), that's the right culture to bread. It will be interesting to see if true where jamar/johnson play. Loosing robbo and ricky means we are very light up forward. Suspect Rucks to be changing/resting in the forward line and go tall to see if we can exploit the saints. Big opportunity for Bell hopefully given 2-4 weeks to prove him self.

Beat me to it HT, Its a perfect fit. Play 6-8 in tassie and the big games at the G/Dome. The only other one that comes to mind is the tassie power!

Great concept, 2-3 would be the right amount IMO including GC17 in the mix plus P.A and freo. I have always been against canberra due to us developing a supporter base for sydney. Its just not right, so the sooner we get out of this the better. Added a possible hawks type alignment with the NT and we are talking real sense.

This morning on SEN, eddy was on discussing the issue of free agency. He made the point that collingwood would most likely benifit from such a change. however he was very strong in saying that this is a bad idea, it will hurt the weaker clubs and as a lover of football he does not want it to happen. He also cited likely salary cap breaches as a result of the changes. I wonder if there is a hidden adjenda here or if he is truely a lover of football and concerned for the "weaker" clubs? I think this one falls under the old, if it aint broke why fix it. Melbourne could well be one to suffer in coming years with a strong developing young list that could be targeted under such rules. So for Now Go Eddy!

From what I saw 2 weeks ago, Danny Hughes is chance to be elevated next so maybe debut after the break.
