he will be so much better on the mcg. His game style isn't suited to the scrappy style of the vfl. His kicking is so mint that he can't not be good. He will prove his worth when he gets his chance. I'm more worried about Maric. I rate him very highly but he hasn't kicked on at all

Your response alone shows that you don't understand. It's not about the ones that make it..its the ones that DON'T! There are hundreds of players that reached the heighest possible level as a junior in the tac cup, winning b+f's, all-australian selections etc yet didn't get picked up. The only possible reason is their height. No other logical reason why.

i agree with the original post. Has very neat foot skills and i have no doubt that he will be in our mind for 18 (and maybe 11). Elite footskills

I just hope that when our new recruits come in we don't bathe them with compliments just because they are a new recruit. Those people that saw buckley at pre-season training(in his first season) were saying how good Buckley was, how he was as quick as Chris Judd and he was going to be the first of our 'modern' 190cm midfielders. These people are now calling for his delisting. How about just getting it right the first time? Can't believe the lack of judgment involved in identifying football talent.

Dylan Grimes has elite speed, elite agility and top skills. The reason why he isn't a top 10 selection you ask? Because he is 192cm. Once again, I rest my case. Being 192cm doesn't mean you can't be a top liner..but it certainly drops you down the pecking order in the draft.

All delisted players should be disappointed, especially considering Miller got his contract extended. Nevertheless, I personally think that you can throw a blanket 10-11 players that I wouldn't have any issues with them being delisted due to having horrible foot skills.

mclean talked during his beep test when he was at the draft camp. he was trying to spur on his his murray bushrangers teamate. so there you go. it does happen. and no i havent done the 1000 steps before.

there are techniques involved in doing well in the beep test, like: 1. making sure you run in a straight line(sounds obvious but if you look from side to side to see how everyone else is doing then you might deviate a little bit to one side. 2. Don't talk to anyone else. Waste of breath 3. Make sure you never are ahead of the beep. 4. Make sure when you reach the line that you don't continue to turn on (and crouch down on) the same leg. This will just tire the one leg. Alternate between which leg you plant down to touch the line. 5. The first 4 steps of each shuttle are the most pivotel. You push those 4 hard and you will make it. now go and try it

lol. i can't believe the reactions. get over it. these guys are drafted because they have great footballs skills and are tall, good marks of the footy etc. i'm none of these things..i'm just better than them at the beep test, that's all. no big deal.

No i am not saying that. I am saying that I can do the beep test better than any of those 17/18 year olds for the last 15 years. More than happy to prove it

At the end of the day Ball only averaged 19 touches a game last year. He needs to get his fitness up dramatically to warrant more game time. If he does get fit, then great. But Mclean was and still is the better player. Both have been injured the last 2 years though. Mclean is like Luke ball but with heaps better foot skills. Ultimately, I'd like to get Ball in the PSD.
