Our midfield depth is getting very thin, definitely need the likes of Sparrow, Hunter, ANB and Rivers to really step up and demand a spot in the midfield, otherwise too much will again fall to too few (Jack, Clarry and Trac can’t be on the ball all the time). Hopefully May is good for a couple more top years, allowing Turner and Adams time to properly develop. What to do with Tomlinson? There is definitely a spot there for him in the backline if he wants it (Goody needs to give him a chunk of games - he was a walk up start to our defence for the 2021 GF prior to injury). Poor old Max can’t keep going forever can he? He’s gonna have to do it for at least another year. As for our forward line??? Can Roos broad shoulders carry our forward hopes……….a lot to ask of a 20 year old as Fritta no doubt will get the #1 defender. Our smalls really need to form their own potent mosquito fleet this year and really be manic with their inside 50 pressure. Unfortunate for Turner, but he is another whose body seems to struggle with the rigours of AFL level training. He hasn’t been overly impressive in his senior games, and with Petty injured and future uncertain our KPP stocks start to look thin (especially factoring May’s eventual retirement). We really need the likes of Jed Adams and Matthew Jefferson to step up these next 2 years along with Roo as our generation next in our bigs department. Fullarton becoming a mainstay would help too.

I can’t be the only one that thinks letting Harry go mightn’t be the worst idea. The money he no doubt will command is much too high from his output so far. Throw in his penchant to get injured, why not go and get someone with more runs on the board, proven fitness record and for the same or less $.
