It’s why the AFL for me has become unbearable to watch. If the Dees weren’t in it, I would’ve (and just about have) given it away years ago. It has become so business driven, and what is best for that business to succeed, that the football aspect has been neglected for some time now. Grass roots local footy is so much purer and more enjoyable to witness. Go and get yourself a team to follow outside of the national/state leagues. It is way more fun to watch and be a part of. You feel like you’re part of a real community.

Hawks & Mitchell will wants an early scalp to keep the wolves at bay. They’ll be up for this game and we need to be too. Hit them hard early, or their belief will grow. Belief and doubt are infectious amongst youth, so snuff out their belief and play hard and tough football to lessen their appetite.
