2024 Demonland Player Sponsorship
We (paid up members of Demonland) get the pride of knowing we are a very minute part of his world - but still a part. Unfortunately he gets to carry the burden that is the average Demonland hypochondriac. Good luck Koltyn

Has he won the Brownlow yet?

Welcome to Demonland Koltyn Tholstrup
This is a fallacy that keeps getting trotted out by many supporters. We have not finished in the top 4 this year or last. 2021, 22, 23 = 1st, 5th & 6th respectively.

Grading the 2023 Draft
Itâs a Knightmare move of old to just dismiss our draft haul. He must still be their draft âguruâ, only from afar. And we must take their opinions as gospel, because when I think AFL footy I think ESPN đ€Ș

Daniel Curtin
Iâm paraphrasing, but basically it was said that âsome recruitersâ feel he picks/chooses when he wants to apply himself and that his versatility is his weakness, as he has no real strengths in any one position (overhead marking, 1v1, kicking not real strengths), a Jack of all trades master of none type player.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 11
I like the aggression and physicality of Tholstrup

Daniel Curtin
A big part of me hopes he comes out next year and tears the comp to shreds, just to stick it up all his doubters and prove that recruiting really is an in exact science.

Jason Taylor on Gettable (17/11/23)
Unless he has one of the greatest pre-seasons of all-time, his body is not ready. He needs time, not to be fed to the wolves ala Jack Watts.

Sports Psychology
A very good point raised @ElDiablo14. When the pointy end of the season has come, to me it appears that the fear of losing has outweighed our drive to win. We are very good at front running, but when weâre behind we panic and go into our shells (both the men and women). Fear of failure is definitely in play with our club atm.

Lack of confidence and self belief? Lack of leadership?

AFLW: SF vs Geelong
At least the men were in with a chance in both finals this year. The women have virtually rolled over in both of our finals this past week. Very poor indeed. Something doesnât smell right about the MFC at the minute.

AFLW: SF vs Geelong
How come both finals which we have been the home team for have been at a neutral venue? Roos I can somewhat understand being at IKON, but if the Cats were the home team this wouldâve been played at KP. Why havenât we had one of our home finals out at Casey?

I actually agree with this. At the time of drafting MJ was a year+ behind in his body development as what JVR was when he got drafted the year before. Then add in that Roo naturally loves to throw his body around, MJ needs time not only to develop his body, but grow in confidence with it too. Give him the time he deserves. I donât expect to see much of him until 2025. Itâs not his fault the coaching group got seduced by TMACâs 2021 season (and it was a great season too), or that BBBâs body would go kaput for the better part of 2 years (not even the coaches couldâve seen that coming so quickly). Whats more, itâs not our KPFâs thatâs the problem, itâs how we get it in to them. No need to rush MJ.

Poor old Yze_Magic would be tearing their hair out not knowing who to pick in this draft đ

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 27th November, 2023
Once pre-season training starts, players really donât get much of a rest for 9 months (10 if you go deep in finals). Even when theyâre not training, they are in the gym, or in debriefing with coaches, or studying outside of footy. Also factor in the never-ending recovery/rehab schedules. Then throw in that they are on pretty strict diets for virtually the entire in-season, itâs unrelenting.
