  2. http://www.sen.com.au/audio Click on the interview link and it should play in the Audioboom player.
  3. Bruised heel from the Freo game - Mentioned here: Howe, Vince out for another 2-3 weeks
  4. According the AFL tables at http://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/T/Tony_Liberatore.html. Libba injured his knee against the Swans in Round 5 ( 26-Apr 1998) and returned to play against Essendon in Round 21 (21-Aug 1998). So he missed 16 games with an ACL tear, Just under 4 months.
  5. I hope PJ has checked all the office drawers for any missing tax bills.
  6. That was fantastic to watch, Doctor. Thank you for the upload. It's such a shame we can't get more footage like this. The old suburban grounds, classic commentators & a chance to see the champions of a bygone era. As a child of the 1980's, it's a pleasure to watch.
  7. 2 unknowns in the front row are Paul Wheatley & Luke Williams. I think the blue polo is Matty Collins. Also 'Balls' Grinter is stand next to Hoppy.
  8. I know Hawthorn had 7 'recycled' players in their 2014 premiership: Gunston, Burgoyne, Hale, Lake, Gibson, Sphanger & McEvoy. Plus Simpkin, who was dropped for the GF. They've lost Cheney, but have added O'Rourke and Some spud defender from another club. They could have potentially 10 'recycled' players playing in 2015.
  9. Off to the west for first practice against the Anchors: http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2014-10-28/nab-challenge-fixture-confirmed
  10. Sam's first interview as a Demon: http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2014-10-17/sam-frost-first-interview
  11. As much as anyone may disagree, although that seems to be the minority, I've got to say I'm quite happy with this trade. Many of us have spent the last couple of years bleating about the lack of sufficient crumb around our forward line and Garlett will bring that at a relatively low cost, pick wise. We will see a different Melbourne side in round 1, or at least I bloody hope so
  12. I was too young to see him live, but his reputation preceded him as I grew to learn more about the MFC. The footage of him in his last year in 87 was something to behold and I envy those who got to see the great number 2 in person. R.I.P. Robbie, you will be missed by the whole VFL/AFL community. Condolences to all his family and friends. There will be many in mourning
  13. From this list posted on the club website, it looks like he is still on the list until traded or delisted: http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2014-09-29/melbournes-2015-list I think if Clark goes it has to be through a trade unless the club decides to delist him. If a suitable trade cannot be found, he would have to go into the draft.
  14. T-Mac re-signed about a month ago. They can sniff around all they want but he's staying. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2014-07-10/mcdonald-locked-in-at-melbourne
  15. Agree with this. Sure, when we have been up there have been prime examples of dropping 'easy' games (Losing to the Blues in twice in 2006, Being smashed by the Swans at the 'G leading into the 2002 finals etc). However, there are plenty of games in the past 20-25 years where as underdogs we have knocked off more fancied opponents. A prime example is Round 19 1996,3rd last with only 5 wins and having lost to the eventual premiers and runners up by a combined 176 points in the previous 2 weeks, we came out and jumped the 4th placed Blues to lead by 50 points before withstanding a Carlton comeback to run out 19 point winners. http://demonwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Round+19+1996 The last 8 years have muddied the memories of many, but we haven't always been as bad as have seen over the past couple of years.
  16. According to Misson's injury report, he had surgery to remove the appendix.

  18. Latest list from melbournefc: http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2014-06-11/hogan-making-progress-misson Shannon Byrnes (foot) – 1-2 weeks Mitch Clisby (quadriceps) – 2 weeks Jesse Hogan (back) – indefinite Jayden Hunt (back) – 4-6 weeks Max King (leg) – 2 weeks Jake Spencer (ankle) – 3-4 weeks Jack Trengove (foot) – season
  19. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/melbourne-demon-lynden-dunn-navigates-stormy-waters-20140604-zrxix.html A nice little insight into the path that has led Dunny to his improved form in 2014.
  20. We actually won in 2010 by 1 point after being 40+ points up. I think we can win this time but I doubt it. Port by 3-4 goals.
  21. If this is true, it's a shame for a young player who from all reports was progressing well at Casey. Luckily, a punctured lung can be a pretty straight forward issue and he should be back playing soon.
  22. WYL, There is more information regarding the alignment available online: http://www.melbournefc.com.au/the-club/melbourne-cricket-club http://www.mcc.org.au/Club%20Sport/Melbourne%20Football%20Club.aspx If you need more info, You should contact the club or MCC directly. The agreement does include the MCC having a say and assisting with admin and commercial opportunites for the club but not having a copy of the agreement with me can only go off what is publicly available.
