Welcome Back to the Bottom of the Ladder
Pick 10 is high enough to get a very good player. The days of hoping we play worse so we advance a couple of spots in the draft are behind me, personally. I wonât do that and would prefer 9th over 10th, 10th over 11th, 11th over 12th and 17th over 18th.

Welcome Back to the Bottom of the Ladder
Righto then mate. Stone motherless last. No scope for improvement in this side whatsoever. ?

Just a fleeting visit. Weâre not here to stay.

CASEYï»ż DEMONS V RICHMOND VFL
Did Keilty do enough to put himself in contention? We are in need of a forward who can mark.

Round 6 Non MFC games
Been watching the Freo Bulldogs game, one highlight for Freo is their talls in Hogan and Taberner taking marks. Liked the move of TMac back to defence to get him back in the game again, but this has reinforced to me that we have to get him back playing as a marking forward ASAP. We also have to persist with Weideman. Iâm 100% convinced that if we can correct that one single aspect of our game, rapid improvement will come.

Round 6 Non MFC games
Not that I expect anyone to give a ratâs about my threats but if we on Demonland are about to embark on another round of barracking for losses or hoping other sht teams crawl past us, I am out of here. Weâve seen how much that hurt last time and the payoff was far from worth it. Thatâs a loserâs game - even if itâs only supporters - and Iâm not playing it. I hope Port win by 100.

Round 6 Non MFC games
Rewind the clock about two minutes further and see Baguley get a free kick and goal for a hold when he was the one doing the holding. Total BS free kick. If that hadnât happened Essendon fans would have nothing to complain about as the game should have been out if reach by the time the Pendlebury thing happened. I think in general in our game we have a culture of pissing and moaning about umpiring in general. Itâs a game where a lot of the rules are subjective. In every single game thereâs calls good and bad. Itâs the nature of the game. Itâs a garbage excuse for booing 10 minutes after the game anyway. On a day that is supposed to be about coming togetherness, while ANZAC representatives were on the ground awarding a champion player. Boo your head off while the game is being played, and even after the siren. Once the presentations start, STFU and show some respect.

CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Sorry, frustration gets the better of me sometimes. With regards to Jones - heâs struggling for sure, however I canât see him being dropped. Thereâs at least 3 players I can think of that would be first and there are zero players at Casey better than him. He will be persevered with for some time yet. As for the games record, if itâs irrelevant as youâre now saying, then Iâm not sure why you brought it up in the first place. Your whole post was centred around him not being worthy for holding these records, Iâm not sure what else you were expecting us to conclude.

@praha- itâs also within threads. Nathan Jones should apparently stand aside cos this dude thinks he isnât worthy of second place on our all times games list.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JAY LOCKHART
Heâs not used to the speed of the game yet - has been done for holding the ball at least once per game and isnât in games for long enough. I like his attributes, but in my view itâs unrealised potential with a few cameos per game at this point. Would be developing in the VFL ideally if our first choice flankers in Hannan and AVB werenât out.

Round 6 Non MFC games
Essendon fans cementing their spots as the most disgusting supporters in the game. Outstanding response by Buckley.

Goody Presser, nearest the pin
How were you feeling after the first quarter, where we were leading? Were there really no positives? Not one single thing worked well at any stage? I think the last line Iâve quoted sums up where my view differs from most. I donât take anything the coach says personally. Unless he looks down the camera and addresses me by name, I canât be insulted by what he says. Itâs not his job to soothe upset fans, as grown adults we need to be able to do that ourselves.

Goody Presser, nearest the pin
Give me an example of a successful coach who didnât give trite, repetitive platitudes when the team was playing like crap? Actually put up a clip. What were Clarkson or Hardwick saying to the media in the years their teams were struggling? Can anyone remember a pale Neale Daniher sitting in front of the press in one of those down years after a woeful loss, mumbling âweâre tryinâ to build a spineâ? Hindsight tells us Daniher was a very capable coach. Coaches in press conferences are on a hiding to nothing. I put it out there that thereâs absolutely nothing Goodwin could say that will please everyone. Someone actually said in the post match thread that he wanted to see the coach âirrationalâ - thatâs the last thing I want to see and will know heâs cooked as soon as he is. His message has been steady and consistent. Itâs hard to hear when weâre so angry and disappointed, but nothing Goodwin has said is wrong or suggests incompetence.

POST GAME: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Agree, TMac played tight on Lynch and nullified him. I thought it was a good demonstration to his brother and Frost on how itâs done. Itâs easy to sook about TMacâs ball use coming out of defence, but honestly thatâs such old news Iâm amazed anyone still bothers. Heâs a 100% known quantity as a defender; we all know what the tradeoff is, and we got what we paid for last night with him.

CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
If we drop Weideman for Preuss, our tall forwards are Preuss and Smith. Preuss was going alright before the injury but Iâm still pretty unconvinced heâs any good as a forward. If heâs not marking it thereâs not much else he does - he doesnât know when or how to bring ground players in to play, and he is too slow to do anything about half backs who want to escape with the ball. I liked Smithâs game last night, but heâs a medium sized forward who is borderline AFL level. He tries his guts out though, which is hard not to love. Weâve definitely got a problem at the moment as Weid was hopeless again last night, but Iâm still confident heâs got the right attributes and will come good. If you drop him now and go with a makeshift Preuss/Smith forward line, I see that as giving up on the forward line before the game has even started. At least with Weideman in, thereâs at least some prospect of the miraculous happening and they start to fire, no matter how minute it is. I hope the TMac back thing is only temporary. We desperately need him to return to last yearâs forward marking form.

GAMEDAY: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Iâm not sure itâs skills - I think we generally hit the player weâre pointing at. The problem comes when we kick it without having pointed at anyone. Itâs as if weâre expecting a player to be there, but the only player there is Dylan Grimes, who always seems to know where our kicks will go before we do. Itâs exactly the same as it has been all year. Weâve addressed âeasy to play againstâ though, thank f. Hopefully we can find an avenue to goal.

The Neeld years felt like losing to Essendon by 120 points.

Skills are crap because intensity of the game is through the roof. Iâll take that.

Melksham in the middle looks like the most effective of all the moves. Tim Smith took that mark because he didnât fly for the same ball as Weid. He has been excellent so far. Jack Viney is a bull.
