And just when it looked like the worm might come back for the first time in 18 quarters... Gus Brayshaw finds another gear. That was a perfect 10 for mine. Enjoyed every minute of that. I was confident of a win but to witness another belting was just a sight to behold. I just think of it as a ranking from 1-40 (or whatever) and Tyson, through form and the availability of Viney fell from 22nd to 23rd. The fact that he was in the senior side in the first place means they thought him a better option than all the other players at Casey. Being dropped from the side doesn’t necessarily change that.

I expect no change, Garlett and Pedersen to both travel, and Tyson to play for Casey.

It just means he’s moved to 23rd in the pecking order doesn’t it? I don’t think it goes that the players who played at Casey are automatically more meritorious for selection than the non-playing emergency. “Merit” is more broad than form in a single week.

I often wonder what happens behind the scenes with these multi-sport talents - especially the basketballers, when they’ve chosen the other sport, then suddenly rock up at Cat B rookies in the AFL. Given that there’s daylight between the career prestige and cash between the NBA and the AFL, you would owe it to yourself to have a crack at the former first and fall back to the latter when it was obvious it was not going to happen.

No way. As I said in the post match, Smith did a number of contest killers that resulted in goals that should have been easy Carlton marks. Looked right at home for me. Pedersen is unlucky after his VFL performance, but there are no vacancies in the team for him.

It means it might be sending your password from you to the server in plain text instead of being encrypted - it increases your risk of having your Demonland account hacked from minuscule to minusculy less minuscule. Not sure. I’ve always just assumed the site was always offline when I am asleep.

Hi all, I’ll be making a change at around 10pm to point the site at the new server. Since the new server isn’t actually online until 2am, this means the site will go down once I make the change and won’t come back up until after 2am. I am doing it so early because I am not as good at staying up until 2am as I used to be.
