  1. Lame. Can't tell it that you're in Vic? I had a thing asking me for my location when I first opened it.
  2. Entertaining game so far. Weideman still flying but not plucking them at this point, but being double teamed at least now generally. Kennedy and Kent everywhere in that quarter. Casey's Fritsch(?) looks like a gun.
  3. https://au.tv.yahoo.com/plus7/live/, then clicked "VFL".
  4. I'm watching it online (I'm in Hobart) if that helps. Score is 57 to 39 in Casey's favour. Only been watching from the third quarter on but mostly been played in Casey's half - JKH, Kent, Kennedy getting amongst it.
  5. Weideman now discovering what it's like having 3 opponents at once.
  6. Plagiarised from the Casey twitter feed:
  7. Yeah I know, I was just stirring - truth be told I've asked myself the same question. It is my observation from years of being on this forum as a born and bred interstater, though, that many from Victoria aren't aware that there exists a world beyond it.
  8. Only a Victorian would think that a game that is being played in WA might be listed in Victorian time.
  9. Congratulations on the milestone. After a bit of a rollercoaster start, having taken 6 seasons, he has turned in to a handy defender. His ability to assist his teammates in defence has been a feature since moving back there, however I feel like his run/dash forward has made real progress this season. Hopefully the next 50 can come quicker for him.
  10. If it comes down to other clubs allowing us to fall over the line, we're just making up numbers anyway. Concentrate on winning and the ladder position will take care of itself as Nathan Jones would say.
  11. Watch the video. Same quotes, obviously, but sounds a lot more personal.
  12. Macdonald. They spelt his name wrong every time. How hard is it? Good to see him having some success outside of footy.
  13. Jones staying when every other FA went running during those dark days earned him in a special place in the hearts of the Melbourne faithful. It's hard to imagine the club without him.
  14. I usually tend to err on the side of "anyone is tradeable", but in this case I think player welfare is an overriding factor. I really don't think Angus needs the stress of a trade added to an already stressful life period. Besides, we've already invested heavily in him as a player. We should allow that investment to play out now. I wouldn't entertain the idea unless he came to the club and said he really wanted to go.
  15. These questions always make me cringe a bit to be honest. We don't have a Burgoyne, or a Hodge, we have an entirely different set of players with different individual characteristics.
  16. A number of years ago I knew a talented artist, who referred to his work as "graffiti" and absolutely detested the fact that the word had been hijacked by taggers and defacers. That's why I refer to it as graffiti- although maybe I need to update my vocabulary in this case.
  17. Although the positions are clearly ridiculously. Johnstone and Kent as the back pockets was the first clue!
  18. Yep, saw the tags in the video the MFC posted and felt a true sense of shame. It must be a kick in the teeth for the real graffiti artists to have their work tainted like that.
  19. Pleasantly surprised they went with Stretch. Really hope he's able to string a few good games together, I have high hopes for him.
  20. Hopefully everyone can see now that GNF just plays the odds. There are plenty of us that identified this as far back as when he claimed the inside word on the Roos appointment, though nobody has so comprehensively torn him apart as you have that I can recall.
  21. He was the carryover emergency so didn't play.
  22. Yep. Doubling up on commentary a bit but Salem replaces Jones in the middle, Wagner replaced Salem at half back, Gawn replaces TMac in the ruck and TMac replaces Watts. Gawn goes forward, TMac to the ruck as plan "B". Pedersen to the ruck as plan "C". Good chance all plans will be used with such a makeshift forward line. Too many talls problems defered for a week.
  23. Wagner or JKH will be the second 'in' now that Watts is probably out. Can't see them going for Kent for the reasons outlined by Ted above - our half forward foot soldiers like ANB, Harmes and Bugg are all in because they put in. Kent is at a major crossroads in his career in my opinion - he's good enough if he's driven enough, but he has something to prove before being selected again. I'd expect Wagner or JKH will come in to the side. Goodwin said he wants to reward form - these two are the leading Casey players by all reports. TMac and Pedersen will have to play as our key talls. Yuck. At least it defers the talls structural problem/decision for another week.
