It was an incorrect chemical but it wasn't Roundup. Rather than "dire straits", they are being repaired and will be back in a month or two.

Just a word of advice. Don't reply to CoolX. He never has any proof to support his assertions let alone irrefutable proof, and just makes them up. He's the Donald Trump of Demonland.

The new one now follows their defined corporate colour. Most companies are adamant about this. The old one just took the navy blue of the jumper.

Taught me in English at Melbourne High the year before he left for Perth.

More 300+ game players for the Demons?
mauriesy replied to Supreme_Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I just think it's harder and harder to make it now at any club. The game is getting tougher and faster. You need to play the equivalent of 25 games a season for 12 years, or 20 games a season for 15 years. Players also don't start now until they are 18-19. As an example, Tim Watson made it to 307 games starting at the age of 15 years and 305 days. He was injured in the middle of his career in 1986-87 and only played 7 games in two seasons. He finally limped over the 300-game line with a zero-game season at West Coast in 1992 and two limited seasons (16 and 9 games) back at Essendon in 1993-94. He retired at 33. Given ages and games, I can't see many Melbourne players making 300 games in the future (with the possible exception of Oliver). Certainly players who only have 150 games up by the time they are 27 will struggle.- 27 replies

I think the cling-ons were the supporters watching. 😁

He morphed into someone else. 😉

No need for soil, sand is the growing medium. That's the standard for things like golf greens. You can seed directly into the sand but it can take a few months to grow. For quicker results lay instant turf, although it's far more expensive.

And how come, in the eyes of some, Goodwin doesn't get any credit for his part in building a strong coaching team and surrounding himself with the best assistants?

Her real name is Ignazia Graziella Grace, called "Grace" for short.

Brian Taylor isn't a clown, he's just someone who hasn't kept up with modern football. He played it long ago. The idea that Angus Brayshaw was going to miss a goal because he turned his back on the goalposts as he walked back is just pop psychology. And the game was not about to be over even if the Bulldogs had gone 25 points up. BT can't even read a TV screen in front of himself. When he said that Fritsch is the only player to kick 5 goals in a grand final in the 2000s, despite there being a list of five previous players staring him in the face, he is just embarrassing.

Currently the stealth Omigod variation, not as strong but more transmissible.

I thought MFCSS died on September 25 2021, but apparently not.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?

And Sydney haven't beaten us at the SCG since 2016. 😉 -
When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?

We haven't played North Melbourne at Marvel since 2014. Not like we've had the opportunity lately. And we've only played them there 8 times in total, six of them over a period of 5 years when we were hopeless (2009-2014). We've just won a premiership. All those other piddly records are history and meaningless. -
Sack that red backline group, they're hopeless! 😁

Most of those are borderline ridiculous and beyond my caring. Not like 57 years. -
Players who get the most possessions in the heat of the game make the most mistakes. Who'd have thought? 😁

Reading some of Knightmare's rankings on previous drafts, he never seems to like taking risks. He is not alone in that regard. And he is a pundit, not an experienced recruiter with access to a lot more information. So a large majority of his top dozen or so picks in every draft are midfielders. He hardly ever sees a key position player, ruckman or small forward as worthy of top-10. Maybe he thinks of Brownlow medal votes, or he's been burnt by previous experience, as we all have. Hence he thought Jackson at 3 and Pickett at 12 were "reaches". He thought Green would be a far better pick than Jackson, and preferred Weightman over Pickett, listing "marking superiority" as a reason. The problem with never taking risks is that you are always "safe". Being "safe" can mean that you miss out of the players that will make a dynamic difference to your side, if the other building blocks (e.g. power midfielders) are well in place. In the 2019 draft, Melbourne didn't pick one midfielder. And what a draft it was!

You can't lose if you accept the bet. Either you win a million dollars, or Melbourne gets a premiership. Seems like a no-brainer to me!

Well, just a question. How are the bettor and the bettee going to stop any team winning a flag "in their lifetime"?

It feels weird being the same age as old people.

We might be the hunted. But a lot of teams will be "quaking in their boots" when they come up against us.

It was 10 years ago. Just like 190 was 42 years ago. The current team doesn't dwell on the distant, and neither do I.
