Nail head I have never professed to have inside knowledge... but Ive heard culture in afl circles is very highly rated. What specific culture each club is lookong for i cant comment on. Jack had a rough time at the dees and didnt deserve lot of the criticism but i also think Jack had other prioritues which may not have helped his cause. I highly doubt we'll see him as a player again at the dees. I am also worried for him.beyond 2020 at port. Needs a big year.

Im backing the club in to make the right decisions. Afterall the FD ave their jobs/reputations on the line. Doesn't mean it will automatically pay off but they live and die by the sword. Yep its all good in theory Problem is the player choosea where they want to go. Wouldnt thought this strategy has paid off dor clubs like ours or saints, dogs, roos. Players choose big clubs. AFL equality is bs.

True. But there is more to team performance than pure stats and what u see on tv. You're right it's hard to explain without writing an essay but i believe we have to trust these people to know there is a need and recruit accordingly. I look at clubs like te cats and hawks who seem to get it right. I know there are a lot of factors involved like restrictions in player movement (eg players refusing to go to some clubs) but you'd hope there is an actual strategy to recruiting players.

I sincerely hope our FD has more foresight than Demonland. If we're recruiting a player based on observations of performance and not based on a strategy or need.... well I give up.
