That’s scary. Those numbers show they all hit their expected output or better. There’s not really any improvement to come from them. Our forward line seems to be the big weakness now. It’s obviously not scoring, but the most damning part is the lack of defensive pressure. If we get it forward and don’t score, we now fail to lock it in and it rebounds up the other end like lightning. Spargo was dropped for laying zero tackles last week. Lockhart cracked in for a first gamer. Hannan is cooked for most of the year. JKH is gone for the year. Kent no longer at the club. We need Garlett into the team ASAP.

Our game style is shithouse. It’s like we’ve gone back to 2014 when Paul Roos was just starting to teach our players how to defend and they were running around like headless chooks.

Need to have football basics drilled into him. Whether that’s VFL or AFL level I don’t know. He just makes far too many fundamental mistakes with the basics of the game. His strength and power are impressive, but aren’t utilized in games and therefore become irrelevant.

Key issue is still lack of leadership. Lewis might not be a great player anymore, but at least he’s a vocal leader who barks orders and organizes the troops. Lever is the same. Their leadership absence is evident. Neither Jones or Viney are vocal leaders. It’s great to have some lead by example types, but we need vocal leaders to organize us. This is still a young team who need guidance.

On track for an 80 point thumping here. What key changes do we make for next week to try and save our season?

So many key player a out of form. Gawn has been woeful. Has he drunk too much bath water?

Season on the ropes. Us vs Essendon next week, loser is likely cooked. So many player so out of form, and our game style is atrocious.

Would love to get Garlett back into our forward line... well any proven goal kicker really.

We don’t have a forward line. It’s amazing we were the highest scoring team last year somehow.

Fritsch has been disappointing so far this season too. I was expecting him to take another step forward this year and become a quality player, but he’s struggling. Oliver really digging in and trying to carry the team. He’s a star.

Petracca stuffed it again. How can anyone be satisfied with what he’s producing?

Then we drop him. He’s in the team on potential, not output. Either he gets involved and has an impact, or we drop him.

What’s happened to May? This season is falling apart for us!

Petracca can [censored] off. Drops chest marks and slips basic tackles. He is playing [censored] football when he get sick near it, which isn’t often. Serious waste of talent. So disappointing.

We’ve gone backwards 3 years. This team looks like it’s trying but doesn’t have the skill or gameplan/game sense to be anything other than “competitive”. Our main strength is contested ball and we’ve completely lost it. Teams have worked out how to position themselves to counter our kids at stoppages. Our season isn’t looking good.

Petracca seriously struggling for form. He’s looking like a bust at pick 2. Imagine if we had De Goey up forward!

We are getting destroyed in contested ball. Cats nearly twice as many contested possessions. Wtf has happened to our hard midfield?!

Getting beaten inside and outside. It’s going to be a long night and unless we find form soon it’s going to be a wasted season.

Kolodjashnij has started well. He’s working the far wing beautifully, positioning perfect. He’s gone in hard a few times too already. We might have found our missing wingman finally!
