MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 15
The Backyard Charizard replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Or you just need to have consistent form at Casey and put yourself in a position where you "can't be ignored" -
Is Dermott Brereton the biggest flog on tv?

If I had to go to a poll booth on Saturday then for sure Drain Russell gets my vote! -
Watch Jack have an absolute cracker of a match... *Good form coming in *Long time between drinks *Can boost his chances of being retained by Dees for next year *Can show he would be a good pick up should an exit from the Dees be on the cards Good luck Jack! Top bloke who had time to chat with my 7 yr old son at training earlier this year.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 15
The Backyard Charizard replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
If the team switch on from the first bounce and play at their best for 4 quarters then we are capable of getting within 24 points of Adelaide (if not a fairy tale win) If we are off just a tiny bit then I lean more toward us losing by 6 goals or more... I am a die hard fan as people know but I am also a realist -
Michael Hibberd and Michael Hurley
The Backyard Charizard replied to P-man's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thought I'd paste a response from Nick Bowen on the AFL website trade chat today... Not ground breaking but worth a mention... Question asked if we were chasing anyone... Michael Hibberd is likely to be at the Dees next year. Dion Prestia also in Melbourne's sights. -
Tom McDonald (and Oscar) SIGNS.
The Backyard Charizard replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Response to a question regarding Swans defence below... No mention of big money by Nick Bowen "Hi Az, Swans actively looking for a key back and understand Tom McDonald is in their sights. Dees are confident of keeping him but given Swans' trading record you never know. Tom Harley has previously said the club is not pursuing Michael Hurley" -

Why even risk it on a day like today? Up the line all day long in the p155ing down rain -

My 3 word player analysis V Sydney
The Backyard Charizard replied to joeboy's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree with many Joeboy, but have taken the liberty of adding my thoughts Jones - prolific not influential Vince - never stopped trying Hogan - was obviously restricted Watts - it's not basketball Gutsy and clean Petracca - a few cameos Dawes - had no impact Impacted many contests Viney - tried but overwhelmed Hand still sore Trengove - had no spark Gawn - conditions nullified influence Tyson - was easily outmuscled Oliver - was rarely sighted Stretch - missing at sea Should've been Mitchie Kent - probably went overboard Frost - rough but willing T.McDonald - a steady game Brain fades annoy O.McDonald - lacked footy smarts Tried but inexperienced Hunt - brave and attacking Bugg - was rarely noticed Kennedy - had no impact vandenBerg- surprisingly quiet game Should've been Grimes Jetta - barely bothered scorers Wagner - tried but failed -
Tom McDonald (and Oscar) SIGNS.
The Backyard Charizard replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
His kick across the face of goal that put O-Mac under pressure early stages of the 3rd when we were 4 goals down which resulted in a goal to the Swans had me losing my $hit beyond belief and nearly demolishing my lounge room!! Seriously?! I am not a T-Mac basher but the bloke has some of the worst brain fades I have ever witnessed... -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 13
The Backyard Charizard replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Some heavy rain due shortly... Then I'm predicting another down pour in the last... Should be fun! -
Don't we all
-
It is looking like some serious rain in the next 45 mins and then another front coming through in time for the last quarter... Looking forward to this one like not many before it this year... I want to see how we go with this test!

Who are the Dees chasing for 2017 and at what cost?
The Backyard Charizard replied to junk's topic in Melbourne Demons
Although it would be a bit harsh on young Wagner, I would not hesitate in the slightest to make that trade... Of course this is all hypothetical as GC would be mad to complete that trade... Plus, if you believe the BS that comes out of the local SA media, the Crows are all over Day like white on rice -
Who are the Dees chasing for 2017 and at what cost?
The Backyard Charizard replied to junk's topic in Melbourne Demons
The issue with Crouch is the fact that he is more in love with the p155 than he is the football... Punts and drinks like a machine.... And if anyone wants to know my source.... It's my own eyes on a weekly basis -

I think that we can all agree that on today's form and given our opponent next week, we will be seeing BenKen ready to make a statement on QBD... Who misses is anyone's guess -

Because I think Harmes loses his effectiveness with a slippery pill... Whereas Kent tackles more effectively with precipitation in the vicinity ?
