I am not against giving Daniel "Disco" Turner a chance against the Swans. My only two concerns are: 1) Adam Tomlinson would be better suited against the "bigger" types of Joel Amartey and Hayden McLean. 2) Wouldn't it be better to have a settled defence leading into the finals?

I think Horrible Hawthorn are a good chance of beating Feckless Fremantle at the MCG. Especially with Jai Newcombe back in for the Hawks. Nevertheless, we shall wait and see what happens I guess? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Christian Petracca still a "sneaky chance" to win the Brownlow Medal this year apparently? Especially if he has a Best-On-Ground performance against the Swans. However, I will admit that a 2023 AFL Premiership Medallion and another Norm Smith Medal would be alot better!

I wish Adem Yze all the best with this opportunity at the Tigers. My only request would be that any senior AFL coaching role he takes on isn't until the Demons finals compaign is concluded.

Don't forget Stuart Spencer too from the 1950s! Another redhead. One of the greatest Demons players ever. Just a shame he moved to Tasmania in his prime!

I am really hopeful Tom McDonald plays as our second tall forward against Sydney. I think structurally it makes sense. Especially as he can also share ruck duties with Jacob van Rooyen in the forward line too. Anyway, the selection committee have a lot to ponder this week. 🤔

I am still quietly confident that Brodie Grundy will help the Demons out during the finals and have an impact for us. Especially against teams who play 2 ruckmen. The balance of Brodie Grundy and Max Gawn playing together and kicking goals worked well in the Pre-Season matches against St. Kilda and Richmond. I was genuinely excited after those performances. Sadly, I don't know what went wrong after that. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Kane Cornes is just a shock jock really. He says controversial things just for the sake of it. Very boring! 🥱 Good on Russell "Robbo" Roberston for standing up for Simon Goodwin, Clayton Oliver and the Melbourne Football Club though! I know "Robbo" is the MC/Host for Melbourne Demons Home Games at the MCG. He does a great job there! However, I would love to see him more in the media. If they ever brought back a variety Football TV show (kinda like the Footy Show or Live and Kicking) then "Robbo" could easily host it and even play in a band due to his musical talents.

It really is a bit of a quandary dealing with who to pick. I think with a top 5 pick you gotta go best talent available. However, wants and needs also need to be taken into account. You would have to be "over the moon" with any of those choices. All of them exceptional young football talents. Anyway, I will reiterate that I have total faith in Jason Taylor and the rest of the MFC recruitment team. 🙏

I would just like to know what his junior footy was like growing up in Glenroy and playing for the Calder Cannons in the Under 18s TAC Cup (as it used to be called)? He was a pretty talented junior player who won the "best on ground" on the TAC Cup Grand Final actually. Who did Jake Melksham barrack for as a kid growing up? I think it may have been Essendon. Anyway, looking forward to listening to the interview! 🙂

Apparently Melbourne was that awful in 1981 (the year I was born) that the coach at the time, Ron Barassi, wrote an apology letter to all Melbourne Demons members! 😖 I can't find it at the moment. But I know a copy of the letter exists somewhere online. 🤔 Who would ever think that 40 years later we FINALLY would win a Premiership in 2021!

Maybe Garry Lyon is onto something here? 🤔 I wouldn't mind seeing Trent Rivers get more of a run in the midfield. Especially with that massive booming kick of his! I remember Trent Rivers was given some midfield time in the pre-season against St. Kilda down at Moorabbin.

Any further news about a Home Base in Caulfield? Thought I should ask as it is something I am extremely passionate about in regards to our beloved Melbourne Football Club finally having a proper Home Base.
