  1. I log on tonight and have 3 pages to read,What a day it's been in Ultimate Football. Firstly DL 7 - Don't do it champ you are the reigning Premier - You are a vital cog in this comps machine. I urge you to reconsider. JCB - My friend you have been in overdrive on this site today, I understand where you are coming from however there is some good valid arguments from DL7 & Robbo24 as to why that trade has gone down. It's the system that's been agreed upon that's now driving these late exchanges.. Hang in there also JCB you can't leave either, I would reconsider my spot in the comp if you did, This comp needs you JCB. So when's the offer for SJ, Stanton & Brownny arriving? :-) Lets all chill out (This sounds familiar), this is a great Comp, lets not destroy it before it's 2 years young. PS : For those sides that need 1991 Rookies - Steven Motlop, Jonothon Patton, Billy Longer, Josh Caddy all on the table. I am looking for a open Age keeper in return to partner Swanny in the midfield.
  2. Classic "Blankety Blanks" thread Just waiting for " Peter the Phantom Puller" to fill in the gaps on this one. Stay tuned
  3. Well done Dappa Dan - Solid win in the end Strangely i couldn't get my nose infront all weekend however I was confident I would reel you in. Enter Sam Mitchell & Dan Hannebury, 42 Handballs between them is insane. The Big Mummy came up 1 hit out short & suddenly I get smashed. Going to be tough from here for team OMR however while there is still a slight chance for the 8 I will keep swinging hard. Fortunately I play 3 teams in the mix for the 8 in the final rounds so anything still might happen. Well done to all other winners in round 16 - This really is a great comp
  4. My boy's have made a huge statement this round & Taken out the top of the ladder Mad Melbourne Dayne Zorko proving to be a bargain superstar & is now right in Keeper contention. Lindsy Gilbee also a very impressive 2012 debut. Still not quite into the 8 yet but just like 2011 I am charging home. I missed the 8 on % last year, I wont be coming up short in 2012! Well done to all winning coaches this round, its going to be a HUGE month coming up PS: JLH please answer trade proposal - Yes or No would be great - Cheers OMR
  5. TJ - Like many before him a huge waste of talent. On his day he was so elite - His finest moment surely came in that 2003/2004? Semi - Final Versus Adelaide 40 points down at 1/4 time & he changed the game so dramatically with pin point passing & gut running. 15 points up at 3/4 time & sadly Trapper ran out of petrol & we lost. Sums up his career really & The Dee's plight for a long time. Despite all his short coming's he was definately one of my favourite Demons when on song.
  6. Is there a Trade Deadline this season? OMR EOFY Sale Travis Boak David Mundy Brock MClean Angus Monfries Billy Longer - 1991 Rookie Mike Pyke Matt Scarlett Harry Taylor Heath Shaw Shaun Burgoyne Tyrone Vickery All offers will be considered
  7. Didn't think that trade woud be vetoed. Seems fair & reasonable because Hamish Mac might be due back @ some point however with the form of the Goldstein inspired Roo's I doubt he will be as useful. Goldy is once more the main man - I reckon Hamish Mac will be traded at seasons end from The Roo's.
  8. Great Idea lets bring back Juice. Actually why stop at Juice? * Isaac Weetra * Jace Bode * Cameron Hunter * Ross Funcke Surely all these blokes are worth another look just incase we stuffed up first time around.
  9. From memory the only major problem in 2011 along these lines was Scarlett disappearing from the start until about mid-season. So in effect all the teams that played him in the 1st half of the season got a free kick. It's kind of reverse this time. JLH's side is only ordinary because he has chose NOT to rebuild through the Player Market & rarely responds to Trade Proposals I have picked up Mike Pyke, Billy Longer, Steven Motlop, Brock Mac, Lovett-Murray, Luke Dahlhuus to name a few. All have significantly assisted my team which was decimated by injuries early. He has made what - 2 changes? Playing his side is only comparable to a Bye because he has decided 2012 is all to hard & has pulled up stumps a long long way out. I guess most of this comp's complaints appear because the majority of teams have alot of time & passion for this game, & we hate to see the current season compromised by Teams giving up. Surely at the very least we can get some commitments next season from all to continue trying throughout the home & away. Perhaps the No. 1 Draft pick should be the prize for the most improved team in the 2nd half of the season who fail to make the 8?
  10. Good points by JCB, MM & HT I also hate the shut up shop method & it needs to be addressed. Sure we can't force people to play however surely we can get everyone's buy in @ the start of each season to continue on attempting to be competitive all season regardless of there circumstance. I like keepers however the concept should not destroy the integrity of the current season. Why should some teams get the benefeit of a virtual BYE in the 2nd half of the season. Deevoted is the perfect example from 2011. He struggled all year but he never stopped trying to improve his position all season. Perhaps anyside that won't commit to playing out the entire season should reconsider there spot in this comp?
  11. I thought we had capped the keepers @ 4 2 Open Aged & 2 Rookies (Born 1991 or after) Next year will still be 4 Keepers only 2 Open Aged & 2 Rookies (Born 1992 or after) Am I understanding this correctly? BILLY LONGER (Gun 1992 Keeper Ruckmen) Taking Offers if anyone intersted?
  12. Bloody Classic - The Mrs had to tell me to shut the fark up I was laughing so loud. Mitch Robinson & Juddy, = Squeal like a Pig Son
  13. Now this really will be interesting to see how we respond on field. Sheeds has been loading gun's all his career Will we come in spinner?, lose the plot & become GWS's bitche's? or Will we make a stand, flex some muscles, grow some balls & still belt them on the scoreboard. Will be fascinating watching this one unfold.
  14. Welcome Ology Brother's Get your whole crew across, you blokes will get his joint jumping. Definately got that Merger / Takeover feel happening. Surely Don Scott won't screw this one up!
  15. Pretty sure I recall Joel Selwood around selection 7 NOT 14 WYL is spot on, we like every other club, stuffed up bigtime not taking Darling. Fact is the kid is a superstar unfolding. Don't even get me started on Natanui- Seriously WTF is the go home factor? Do you honestly think powerhouse clubs like Hawthorn & Collingwood consider that for more than one second? I mean has Buddy charged back to WA? That recruiting era was an Epic Fail.
  16. Shuey has had a great year to date - It hurt me letting him go to H-T earlier this year. I received the current Number 5 ranked player (N. Riewaldt) in return, so as I stated at the time Win / Win has been proved correct. Surely everyone knows JCB well enough by now to know he is tongue in cheek & playing Mind Games in his Shuey Comments. Neither Wrecker or H-T have lost anything in there charge to 2012 Glory. H-T has gained the No. 1 1991 Rookie Keeper for next season however has lost his No.1 open age Keeper in the process. Pro's & Con's everywhere in this trade. We will need to look back on this one in 12 month's to see who came out ahead. The one thing I agree upon is both Players involved are genuine stars of The Comp. Now anyone interested in the following 1991 Rookies? Luke Dahlhaus - Steven Motlop - Billy Longer?
  17. Very bold & aggressive trading by The Wrecker - Should definately be there at the business end in 2012. RR & DL7 good work on your Rookie Pick Ups HT - Exceptional work from you, risky but high long term reward. Geez I hate these BYES
  18. We could of already had both on our list. Sidearse is a star - Lets hope Jack Watts gets to similiar heights soon. Beams is the one that hurts He was taken at selection 29 in the same draft. We chose Blease selection 17 (That one might just still work out) & Strauss selection 19 in front of him. & amazingly selection 18 right in the middle of those 2 selections, no other then Luke Shuey. So add Beams, Sidebottom & Luke Shuey into our midfield & what do you Know? Exactly what we are all screaming out for! Hindsight is a wonderful thing, however we had our chance to be in a much different position now, with a star studded midfield.
  19. You will have to check with Wooders - However I am fairly certain "The Range Rover" is content with the compromise & will be sticking around beyond this season. Yes we retain 4 players from our existing list. Your top two gun players plus two existing players on your list born 1991 or after. I think the piece your haven't quite got your head around is the 2 rookies must already be on your list in 2012. These two players will not be additional selections in the next draft. I hope this explains the changes a little clearer By the way Jonno Brown a very handy pick up this week , your forward line is looking very potent.
  20. I can understand how you struggled to stay up to date with all that has unfolded JCB. It is hard yards when you are oversea's & trying to stay involved in this great Comp. JA has explained the concept well, embrace it, reload & lets focus on 2012. You are the current Flag favourite, stay switched on, your window is wide open this season. & don't even think about leaving my friend, your sledging, stirring & interaction is one of the great attractions in this Leauge. Hang in there Monster Head, this proposed 2013 Keepers Leauge will take this Comp to another level.
  21. Very Good Point Scarlett - No Priority Pick for Tanking / Trading Out This point is a MUST. 2 Keepers (No restrictions) - 1 Keeper outside the top 100 - One Player 21 or Under. This is becoming a revolving door - After continueing the thought process, the above is my current preference Probably change again by tonight. Bring On The Poll
  22. Jurrah & Travis Cloke will assist the lack of goals issue. The Swans won the 2005 Premiership averaging about the same amount of goals.
  23. If the criteria is set & agreed upon by all how is this a problem? 21 & Under is the cut Off. 22 or 23 year Old Guns don't fit the agreed criteria therefore can't be retained unless included as one of your 2 Open Aged Keepers. Whatever we go forward with we simply all have to agree to avoid any future confusion. Confident we can all work through this Wooders, stick around.
