Old Man Rivers replied to hardtack's topic in Melbourne Demons
RIP Big Jim You will be sorely missed - You gave so much to so many Thank you -
Bails was very keen on silky skilled stick insects. Surely Lucas Cook will be the last of that model for quite some time. Lets just pray the kid steps up @ some point.

Robbo 24 - Sensational work mate, 8-1 sounds about right for your squad, you will be right amongst it. Very hard to predict how we will all go until round one is done & dusted. But until then I am happy to sit as equal 2nd favourite. I will have to agree to disagree with your view on my defence, I had Harry Taylor & Josh Gibson in the back half of last season. Both performed a little better then lock down specialist's, I hope they repeat there efforts in 2012 JCB I also hope you are right among the contenders, I know you will be leading the way in smack talk Good Luck Lads & bring On Round One -

Strange things happen on draft day. Pendles lasted until Pick 9 last year Goddard went No. 1 & Sandilands No. 2 from memory. Some huge decisions for all of us looming with round one selections. Surely Little Garry will go No.1? B) -

I don't think so RR - We simply can't have both leauge setups, its one or the other However I can recall some worry last season on your behalf about your top of the ladder combo facing the might of OMR late in the season. From memory I smashed you & sent you into a downward tumble that you never recovered from. Take note I won't be such a slow starter in season 2012 -

Either Norm Smith or Jimmy Stynes is fine with me. You can't have a Keeper Leauge & a Relegation/Promotion concept. It's one or the other. Based on Furious D's post I would be steering clear of heading down that track. Our Leauge had alot of trading / sledging / interaction in 2011 we have a 100% retention rate from last year When your on a good thing - Stick to it -

Norm Smith is a great choice however in season 2012 I think we should honour Big Jimmmy. Ultimate Footy - Jim Stynes Leauge gets my vote. -

So who is bidding for THE CURSE of selection ONE? Delivered The Wooden Spoon last year if I am remembering correctly! -

Excuse my stupidity JA however I have a couple of questions about the lottery If we say place all our bids on Selection 2 & our lucky number does not come up, @ what point would we re-enter the draft? Am I correct in assumming after all selections are taken by live bids & we have worked our way up from the bottom of the ladder? What is the required deadline to submit bids? -

OK NO Keeper Leauge in any way shape or form from 2011 - I'm moving on & looking forward to 2013 on that score. Know JA please explain how your Lottery idea for draft order selection will unfold? -

KEEPER LEAUGE I had thought originally to keep players from last year for this year but ultimately I feel that disadvantages some teams who might have weaker teams so it is best to start from a clean slate. I still think we should still explore the option of keeping one player each from 2011 Surely this wont disadvantage any teams! The two new teams simply get a priority pick before the 1st round If we are going down this track anyway in 2013 then this One Player ONLY MVP 2011 selection will add an interesting twist to this season. Yes / No / Maybe - Thoughts?
