  1. Thought the same so did a quick search, he came from the blues on a two year contract, so unless he has recently signed for next year, doesn't seem to be the case
  2. Can't believe that the oxygen thief Jarrad Waite is not in this group, I would have moved him on in a heartbeat before Boomer.
  3. We I could start a thread about how he needs a good hard look at himself, but am not prone to such hyperbole. Hang on, that's been done anyway.
  4. Disagree, obviously. let them have the extra man in defence all day, that way we had an extra player for 'ball use'. Sorry, but on a wet day that makes no sense. Go man on man, get the ball and get it forward. Instead, all day, we had players look up and have Carlton numbers in front of them so they hand balled excessively. Yes there were were many other factors, but to me Roos could have changed things to stop the overuse of handball and didn't.
  5. Pathetic. On so many levels. Thank-you Paul Roos for your fantastic efforts turning our club around, truth be told though, I won't miss you on game days.
  6. I am staggered (yet not surprised) at the complete lack of shame by people at this disgrace of a club. To think they should get a game to celebrate the return of convicted drug cheats just shows the contempt that they have for anyone who believes sport should be free of drugs. ed. We should not deal with these scum WRT Hibberd, get him as a delisted free agent or not at all, don't give the scum anything.
  7. You are forgetting our game at the G on Sept 11 against Girlong.
  8. So we beat Geelong in Geelong this week. Beat Geelong in Geelong next week. Then beat Geelong at the MCG the next game and all is good in the world.
  9. I expect Trenners to be on the main list next year
  10. Glad we are starting to use the Cat B rookie. I do hope though, that our next ex-basketballer is some 206cm odd player
  11. Garland was selected in this years leadership group, I would accept the argument for 2014, not 2016
  12. Fair point, was too lazy to look up their ages. Would throwing Wagner in the mix make it a chance though?
  13. This is the nonsense argument.
  14. In answer to your first question, they need some experienced defenders. you talk leadership qualities, well Paul Roos chose Dunn as a vice captain and Garland in the leadership group this year, sure they aren't perfect but I think Roos knows a bit more about their leadership qualities than us.
  15. So twice in a generation talent?
  16. Club doctor is still there, they did everything they could to look after Hird, any player with half a brain would be furious with the club still.
  17. I agree, but I actually think it is one of those steals that is actually possible.
  18. After Brisbanes second round pick. They have just lost that ranga Merrett and have a desperate shortage of experienced defenders. I don't think it would be impossible to tempt them to giving us their 2nd pick for Dunn and Garland.
  19. First, wouldn't give trading for Ballantyne a minutes thought. second, story on one news is that he asked for a contract extension, Freo didn't bend over so he requested a trade. If true, can't exactly blame Ross.
  20. If anyone could it would be us...
  21. Am intrigued by Freo showing this bloke the door just as it seems he is getting himself right, seems like that they have nursed him through three knee reconstructions and then showing him the door. He is a player with an X-factor and if he could stay fit would walk into most teams (based on potential as it is all we have to go off after just 3 games in 6 years). To me, he is a high risk, high reward option and one I would definitely not be upset if the club was to use a 4th or 5th round pick to get or better yet rookie or delisted free agent.
