Based on Saturdays game i would say 18 - 25 in this draft picks are gold draft. Jamar is just startiung to reach his potential and we should play hard ball. May be a three way deal D's - cARL - eSS.

Jamar was competitive today. Bailey is doing the right thing in giving him first dids to show what he has got. One thing i noticed is that when he was rested we got flogged in the ruck contests. PJ is definetly a much better forward/around the ground player - hopefully he can improve his ruckwork.

Perspective Lads!!! Lloyd would be in the top 10 FF's of all time. He had a day out and even SOS at his best would have struggled. A good learning experience for Warnock.

We will be fielding a very inexperienced team next year - not much different to now and blooding some draft picks from last draft and the upcoming draft. Realistically we will finish around 13 - 16 probably giving us 3 top 20 next year as well - reasons above. We will not be tanking next year but it will be a big year of transition - most old faces gone and new responsibilities for young players who will be asked to step up. The only way we can get a 13 - 9 finish IMO is to draft some 'average' mature cast offs from other clubs as Pagan did at Carlton a few years ago. As someone said in an earlier post - no point. Let us just hope we can draft one or two good big forwards. Just hope we end up with some success.

Lets not wet ouselves - we will be bottom two - most likely bottom. So Watts is ours - and if Warnock wants to be a Dee then he will be ours also.

Why would Freo pay a Mill for a 2nd ruck? They have Sandilands who is still improving. If they are lucky they will trade him rather than lose him in the PSD. Freo stuffed up big time going for recylced players and now are going into very compromised drafts after this year. If he is determined to go they will try very hard to deal!!

Takes a fair bit of genius and luck to get a flag. Cats hads luck with father/son and some good pick ups with mid range picks. Hawks picked up a couyple of good talls. We would need 3 or 4 of our picks 2007 and 2008 to become A+ grade footballers with another couple of very good rated players. Add that to our existing developing stocks and we might have a chance. A combo of Watts and Warnock or Rich and Warnock would be good.

I would go for a bigger player eg, Watts or Nat as they take longer to develop. Mids are easier to come by (although perhaps not as good as Rich) and develop quicker. We also have a number of young mid types including Maric and Grimes and no doubt another one or two this draft.

There is no way we will finish above Freo. One games plus heaps of percentage = 2 games. Watts will nominate. He is just playing games at this stage.

We should only play our younger players. No point in playing White ect. Get some games under young belts.

A big factor in making Bucks and others disposal look bad is the fact that forwards do not present properly. Young players will almost always stuff up when this happens as they are still adjusting. The adjusting bit explains why even what appears like a simple pass is stuffed up. When we are being flogged mercilessly young players do panic. For example, when we were making finals appearances with Nietz, Robbo and Davey presenting well Bruce's disposal got a pass mark. Even he cannot dispose effectively without forwards presenting well. In the first q yesterday with forwards on the lead disposal looked ok. So i will not be bagging young players for poor disposal just yet. I will wait until the team starts winning games and then judge.

WCE are trying their dammdest to get there (bottom that is).

Its a monty. WCE will tank against us for sure. WorSfold will rebuild the quickest way he can. Although talk is they want Rich to rebuild their midfield - but talk is cheap.

Under the current laws, any team finishing with five or fewer wins gains one extra draft pick before the start of the first round of the draft. (Past) Under the new laws, a team finishing with four or fewer wins will get an extra pick, but only after the first round of the draft. Do the laws specify points rather than say four or fewer wins? A draw is not a win so the tigs technically have won 3 games. Another 2 wins will see them miss a priority this year. I think they are a monty for two more wins.

Freo will get a couple of players back and win a few home games. I think they will finish above us. Ess will get Lucas back and he and Llloyd should get there forward line moving. Could be a toss up for bottom spot between us and Ess. Since there mids are ordinary they may go for Rich if he is available at their pick. I would not be surprised if we put a few wins together late in the season..

We have to keep playing the kids at the expense of the older players, Yze, Holland, Crrol etc. Football is a business. You do not wait for stock to run out before you order more. See Hawks as an example of this.

Yze has come to end of a great career. Neita almost the same. Would keep Bruce and Green - IMO very good players.

Bailey has committed to youth in the National Draft. If we get pick 1 in the pre season then we should go for a ready made eg Cousins. Forget Murphy.

I hope we get him. Just heard on 'On the Couch' that Worsfold has put the shutters down. Healy said he was after " Nick Natanui". Basically WCE look like trying out a few kids this year and are likely to get a top 3 pick - suspensions, form and injuries have killed then anyway. Lets hope we can get the kid. I know it means pain for us all for the rest of the year - but it may be worth it. Lets face it at least we do not have to cheat to finish bottom this year. We are crap enough to do irt on our own. Lets get Nick NO1 and VCousins in preseason draft.

Well Brereton on SEN said we had better use our draft picks well this year given the compromised draft in 2010. That is why we need to pick up Cousins NO. 1 in the preseason draft.
