  1. Dees want Roos and hes prepared to take our call !!! odds might be a"changin"
  2. Hes all for giving many a good roasting... yes its ... Chef Kennett !!
  3. Calvin Klein.. golly the Dees must run in his Jeans !!!
  4. Sue ...you too see to have missed the actual point..Its simply this.,.. Some talk...some do. He is actually a Doer. Theres a hell of a lot of talking by many, Jeff included, but I dont hear much from any other ready to go Doers. Im not particularly pro anyone.. I like you am yet to hear what they intend and how they might DO it. I suspect we might start getting that info tomorrow. His efforts.. you do read papers and watch telly I take it ? His prime effort is the simple act of putting his hand up and being prepared to back that . A secondary knock on effect, and possibly intentionally is to force the MFC into action . Whilst there will be things done it seems that much will be done to suit the particpants. For whatever ulterior motive Jeff also has the view that the members ought to be inclusive to this. I do to. there a minor mention at this mornings presser that the members will indeed vote at some juncture, but Im not so sure Im a keen observer of what people do...not just say. I await the next 'efforts' and actions...or as some would say, the next move in this game of Chess Yes everyone is entitled to an opinion. I wonder if more people will buy into Melbourne situation ( literallY ) and exercise that opinion ?
  5. I am only interested in what will appear as "change" from here on in til seasons end We have all thought about how this list might operate differently with another in charge. Well now we might find out Neelds and Craigs coaching ratios are chalk and cheese 15% v 55 % !!!
  6. I seem to remember Adelaide having been quite successful... Must have been some other Adelaide I was thinking of
  7. Yes we are treated...lol normally its only the trade period of interest, now we have a sort of something leading up to it..
  8. Should be very interesting how we now go. I rate Craig. Many I suspect will automatically feel that as Neelds mentor there would not be much difference but I would counter that Craigs role as mentor was to work with the man as he dealt with the role not so much as to impart his thoughts of what ought or not be done or anything really to do with gameplans. Now he is cut loose to utilse the list as he sees fit.. I have a whim that he will jiggle the Dees a bit. Im not sure what really can be accomplished in a week but im intrigued.
  9. we probably will too...lol we all know how this works..
  10. Actually , heard Watters might be on shakey ground... hang on its Seaford.,...make that SWAMPY ground
  11. Not a lot I dont think Seems my fac has a leak...( still..grrr ) The ute is happier for the service The elder daughter has I think finally recovered from here little bday soiree here over the weekend. The dogs have finally shut up ( whinging mutts lol ) the grass is still green ( and needs cutting ) nupp..all seems perfectly normal Old !! but hey...we didnt lose over the weekend, that might be the difference youre feeling in the air ??
  12. tend to agree...who wouldnt learn ..but hey
  13. Lovely PJ owned those knobs !!
  14. Then you didnt get it and we move on. Actually Jeff is far more interested in big pictures, but we can agree to disagree Im not suggesting Jeff is the perfect fit. Im saying, have done all along he ought to be listened to , if and once he puts forward his team and vision. i would say that of any aspirants too
  15. Its quite enjoyable watching this in a way Bodes well edit :must give context. Never good to see a bloke sacked, but the club is presenting far far better in this
  16. I'll give him kudos for being stoic and reasoned. Hes not a bad bloke, just not the coach for us. And we move on.. Good luck Neeld like Bailey, Danners id happily buy you a beer
  17. Oh..i see your logic..lets have 4-5 threads saying the same thing.. ( insert fav face palm )
  18. just a note to mods can we merge ALL Neeld threads (maybe to here ) we end up talkign the same ..... anyways cheers
  19. try reading it again... try reading what was written , not what you wanted to read
  20. nupp.. still works that way in many circles, has done for centuries and wont change any time soon.
  21. I do find it humurous though that kennett has indeed got a Dees membership and that some here havent. !! in fact there are thousands out there who call themselves ardent Melbourne supporters but arent finacial. I wonder if theyre also belittling his efforts ? just saying
  22. now if you take a step back and have a think.....I 'll let you do that.... ... ... .. .. . OK, We have money issues ( not enough ) We are paying people already. We need a new coach but maybe all the best options arent avail just yet. Or The board( PJ ..lol ) has only now got to the point of sacking Neeld so our search , the real one , starts now ( presuming Neelds departure ) Despite all the banging and shouting there isnt a lot that can really change between now and the end of the season. Its only 11 odd games. All an interim could hope for is some tweaking and revised game planning. But the mould is essentially set for the short term. The boys would already have a rapport with Craig. There a comfortable familiarity. Craigs ideas may not have been Neelds ideas etc etc. If this is whats happening I fing it sensible and prudent. You start the ball rolling and are doing so within the ability of the club to manage.
  23. Ive been mulling over this a little and especially in light of the groundswell amongst other clubs against it In bartering etc you ask for X when really you expect Y. Its where Y occurs as to whether youve done ok or dismally. I dont think that PJ and DM would have expected an early PP if any. Yes they asked but its seems to me to me more of a positioning gambit. Now its known generally we asked the AFL have to give some sort of measured response. The money was never really anissue. Much is made of the 2-3 Million but history has shown the willingness of the AFL to shovel the cash every year. Nothing really different here except the packaging and the hullabaloo that accompanies it. But the PP is a curly one as Vlad & Co had al lbut boxed it up and buried t as an idea. We obviously need assistance. Too much will invoke the wrath and ire of nearly all but us. Too little and thats just it, itll be too little. A mini draft seems perfect on the outside but has dangerous precedent attached. if us this year who next nexy tear and so on. GC and GWS were supposed to be aberations and once offs. Ive a sneaky suspicion the AFL may play but only just. A PP before round 2 might be a compromise that can be swallowed by other teams. Its still a handy pick. Even if we finish where we are itll be picks 2 , 19 21 ......... ( before trading etc ) and that would still equate as the best grouping of early picks of any team. Thats reasonable currency to make for an interesting trade week .
  24. I know its a tad simple , but i would have thought if you were really interested, then youd be here and now. and making noises.
