  1. we are probably single handedly thought of as responsible for the weather, what with all this rain
  2. tHe thing about the Kennett push we dont know, is who else is on that ticket. Who is it at Melbourne that have conjoured up this idea ? Id be very interested to know who THESE people are and what they also would bring to the party.
  3. He is a category unto himself, theres no doubting that..lol
  4. cfh...you would be far from alone in that. Its just not enjoyable any more. Its depressing. A wise man/woman removes such impediments to enjoying life. Its too short to squander on some things. Dare I say it, its only footy. Yes , we'd all like it to be different , but it sure aint going to happen overnight and in the mean time theres lots of other, fun, rewarding, and enjoyable past times. I see membership these days as a charitable donation, just no tax benefit
  5. pack a couple of thermoses and a basket of sangers: its going to be a long wait before we amount to much Im affraid. Every time another rebuild , or tinkering of current is mentioned the goalposts get pushed further and further away. This club's been in deenial for so long that the reality of things is only really coming to the fore. Thats scary for we thought we knew what sort of mess we were in, apparently we didnt.
  6. Biffen... you seem you be slightly missing the point.. Its not so much tat Jeff is good bad or indifferent, the whole premise was, would we, or indeed should we , be prepared to look a goodly distance outside the box for the answers to our many many problems. To continually be looking within for solutions and salvations is akin to navel gazing...its just doesnt get you far in the end. Theres good reasons why companies and other organisation deliberately head hunt outside of their own domains. It's to get fresh thinking, objective thinking and people not weighed down by the bickering and infighting that is often present.
  7. The major problem I see with the stance this club takes on many things is that that it huffs and puffs when talk is cheap, come time to walk it crumbles in a heap. No one takes us seriously...and why would you.
  8. and he had a hand in how many ? being there ? just saying lol yes communication would seem to be a problem
  9. bit of a pay me out if you dare.... do we
  10. just putting it back NO
  11. why cant we do the simple things ?
  12. know exactly where you are...its crap...and still I hardly care now. Life goes on. Alot of others things are experienced and done because...I dont care a whole lot anymore. . FZooty is just footy. The Dees are nn(....)........... well everyone can fill in that gap, to each their own. It'd be nice when they deserve to be cared about again.
  13. Im still struggling how there are any redeeming qualities to a 83 point thrashing by a side that itself is struggling to find its A-game. Glimmers here and there are nothing more than that....glimmers.. one might call them 'aberations" even Neeld doesnt seem able to orchestrate a plan on the run that can contain annihilations. I just dont seem to understand what anyones trying to achieve because I cant see anything thats working. I just see a lot of failure...time after time. Nothing is learnt
  14. Bye Mark Youve lost them No ones buying what youre selling But then who would.. I dont think its much chop. We have to stop thinking it cant get any worse. It always does !!!
  15. Rpfc.. Mate..all due respect i think its you missing the point. BIG change is still required as in the main what/whomever is thrre simply arent getting the place happening in any great successful way. Effort and heart are one thing. Vision and accomplishment are clearly another. Whatever flavour is currently enjoyed has failed. To not instigate wholesale overhaul is to do nothing but muddy the way forward and dilute the energies of the incoming. What we have doesn't work.
  16. Steady if not huge stream making way into G. Carpark not overly full. Perfect day for it.
  17. Oxley will probably play a blinder on debut. We do that for teams.
  18. Filth looking to play into form. We'll be perfect . Not being pessimistic but have seen very little this ysar to warrant delusional enthusiasm We get up a bit for these GF's 5 goal loss
  19. rjay...that presumes he would be welcomed with open arms by certain factions. He obviously wouldnt be. I deduce he has been approached by a group ( with some clout and /or influence ) but not currently enough t to cause a spill in their own right nor possibly have a perosn to head a ticket that might seem appealling to our financiers. yep Demetriou. In all reality...who really knows whats already trnaspired...and over how long. ...we're mushrooms
  20. Kennett or anyone else presents a very different alternative to what we currently have. What we are atm is a bit of a mess. There are people who got us there and some / quite a few, are still there, still pulling strings. Its therefore of interest , if not prudent , to at least ivew ande listen to anyone who wants to put their hand up. Listening costs nothing. Inaction or prejudice can indeed be costly.
  21. If the club ...or rather those who would wish to run the club as boardmembers wish to gain ( or keep ) their positions then they had better start communicating to us wee lil folk ( the members ) what their plans/visions are. Those that think they can be boardmembers whilst saying or showing us little may be in for a vrey rude shock. I dont expect this to necessarily happen tomorrow. But I would ask/advise them to do so at their earliest opportinity. We lil folk are a bit tired of being kept in the dark. Some will no doubt come out swinging with ..." well theres a time and a place for this information to be dispensed, you'll just have to wait til then" Theres a certain reality to that I ackowledge. The caveat is that we've waited for along time, a very long time to hear the truth. We get fed snippets and sometimes just plain invention as to the where and how of this club. In that vein Im happy to listen to what anyone has to say.
  22. For Kennett to challenge, he may need to gather 100 signatures from members to call an extraordinary general meeting, and hope he then has enough support at an election. Read more: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/kennett-can-give-dees-a-lift-dunstall-20130608-2nx1r.html#ixzz2ViDNVLhh thats all...100 . The extraodinary AGM would therefore have its own agenda. Many are either turning a blind eye to reality or simply aren't getting it. The whole board CAN be spilled, if thats the motive of the meeting's instigators. That folks is how 'coups" in these arenas happen. Happy to stand corrected , if you can show where and how. I am , like many only after the truth of the matter. By noting this I back no one ( currently ) only trying to show how easily this may all happen.
  23. In all of theh hullabaloo and raving and screaming this VERY important issue has been overlooked, thanks RED for giving it its due level of importance.
