its a bloody good question isnt it

Essentially I dont disagree with any of this but we have perennially gone for the bird in the bush not the (and still only the one not two as is deemed the trade off ) We have as a club to me seemingly played cute with picks instead of effectively applying a KISS strategy. We havent done all that well.. Viney was a blind Freddie slam dunk.....but until this year we havent had a brilliant success rate with picks The essence of much of the angst in all of this is despite what so me see as a natural coursing of developing theree are players distinctly underperforming....and when this is proposed there are many instant retaliations of ....yeah , but !!! The thing is it matters not how many of these 'buts' there are or how many even hold water the original grievance still sticks, there are players grossly underachieving. this has to stop
-
yep it not only changes OUR structure but it allows 'theirs" to effect less combat and affect more rebounding... A huge differential imho
-
And some do...and even when you apply the notion of development as some variable in the OVERALL equation many players still come up short....who'd have thought !!
-
funny though...not all players under 24 underperform......

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

it does beggar much cynicism in all this as you rightly return to those waivers. "here ...sigh here" what...why? "its a waiver" what am I waiving, whats it about "oh just some vitamins or things...we're not sure" oh...ok.... i mean...wtf it was all iffy from the get go...unbelievable ( almost ) -
The cricket's still on .....yeah ?

like it or not...we have about half a dozen serious under-performers on this team given their pedigrees and im giving allowances for where they are in relation to their careers. Look at the picks pre Roos to with Roos. The difference is monumentally staggering in terms of the basic necessities needed in a decent footballer. I know this will create howls of protests and sniggers etc etc from those that think there is just so much of a skills net egg amongst many of our players...and 'one ' day it will all come to fruition. Well in the immortal words of Colonel Potter..."Horse Hockey "

For mine the best aspect of the Lees incident by way of comparison is as far as penalty. Wade got spanked for a fairly straight forward single misdemeanor Essendons was a whole program of transgression...surely that takes it to the next level -

DC , if i had to form any position on this , and its rather difficult in the face of no real hard info them I would think the club doesnt at this juncture know how good or bad it is. That might indeed be the only real truth in all of this. But, as the 'world' awaits some news the club essentially issues a non committal piece of nothing.
