no...funnily enough...never ever crossed my mind. it was all a bit 3rd person-like . a bit fly on the wall stuff. I had good mates who all followed the Sainters and we all loved a beer and it used to just work out at after work on a Sat we'd end up at lInton Ave as one of them lived around the corner. im 100% Demon then , now and forever....just my lot i guess...lol

oh...you mean like footy used to be... in WEATHER...not a roof !!
-
And you automatically go to the idea it was the handling....and not the nature of injury ? Not all injuries heal well despite quality care. i.e patients dont always respond how you think. re the cap..I cant help but remember someone telling me a whiles back it might depend on what % of the cap a club is already loaded at. Be interesting to get this clarified for sure
-
why is there even this thread when the other is perfectly good suggest a merger mods
-
that maybe so but we arent actually privy to how it was distributed over the years....but even if. what it does do is clear that space from the cap. There are actually other things to consider. I think youre suggestion we buggered the handling of his foot is conjecture and a nonsense.

nor I really

I really dont like jumping the gun but it seems like this ones been loaded for some whiles now. If I were ( and Im not ) an elite sportsman whose career , and effectively only known job was to play a game you love its got to be beyond sickening to arrive at a day where that niggling voice booms louder than ever...."its over". It may well not be over but the doubts that range a persons mind when things start going south are an evil we can all do without. Its probably good he has photography, hes not too shabby at it. It might be the panacea he needs now as its becoming more and more likely as time eeks on that a continued presence on the paddock is slipping away. This must be gut wrenching for someone who loves to take the game by the scruff of its neck. it much be debilitating for someone who saw himself as part of the rebuilding of Melbourne. It must be terrible. Would he that he could take an extended time off and come back for NEXT pre-seasons training and take it up from where left , then bloody fantastic. Would I wish this...a thousand times. Would i put money on it....not a zac. get bettter Mitch...hope you find a happy life in something you enjoy, its all any of us want. You really can forgive any supporter for thinking this club's bloody cursed at times.

I suffer from Melbourne Syndrome.....I volunteered to be taken captive !!!

A bloke wouldnt step aside ( take a break ) without much gravity weighing upon his position. Hes at crossroads
-
more obvious id suggest was a leaning towards casting aspersions towards the veracity of Robbie F's post.I really dont believe a lot of what FDs offer as to reasons for injuries etc. Just saying

The word " supposedly" might cover that Hannibal

its a damn shame. I di feel for his predicament.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
beelzebub replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Im almost starting to wonder if the primary reason was simply to give a heads up in the hope whatever the EFC did thereafter would mitigate the fallout and pressure on the League as a whole.I think even Vlad may have been caught flat flooted and off guard as to the breadth and scurrilousness of the Windy Hillers. -
Yep lets continue the 1/2 m pa experiment at any cost. Id love the fit Mitch back on the park. Who wouldnt. But simply observing the recurring trend that shows a fluctuating at best and failing at worst path back to any such ideal suggests to this observer its highly ublikely to actually happen; especially in sucb a manner as to allow him unfettered abilty to play af his level best. I dont wish him ill; quite the contrary I simply refuse to acknowledge what is happening is a precursor to a full recovery. Would any think now that he isnt receicing the best xare and attention, that the advice given isnt the sort that would advocate a slow and steady course? Yet every time currently he nears the park he breaks down..again and again. There has to to be a degree of reality, more than a smattering of pragmatism if for no other reason than continual failure (physically) can only lead to a more permanent and debilitating condition. I honestly wish him well and a full recovery. My doubts increase with every false start.

Hes good value eh Stuie How could I be so blind
-
I think Mitch is a player of fine character and suspect availability. I would like to think that after a short break and a good think that should he realise he is unlikely to offer much in the way of his full 100 % then he ought to retire from this level of the game at least as a player. He might serve usefully in another capacity off list.Take all the sporting romance and dreaming out of this and adjudicate as per its reality. What it is is a dead set shame and no doubt a frustrating persistent bind with little positive forecast.

Well Stuie ..then thats the effective pay out. Hes paid to play. Isnt he ?

If Reid was serious in his concerns a nd contemptible of the course that the EFC were pursuing then he should have quit the club. Hes just a paid lacky ...apparently I cant write what I would...hey Jack !!! -

If laws are bad you work to have them amended or repealed in the meantime however its beholding to those that wish to work or play in a particular line of endeavour to work to them. The is NO excuse...for anyone. Dank and all deserve all thats coming to them. -
unfortunately dont think he will.If theres a payout clause its time to do such, thank Mitch and move on.

What does this mean.....changing teams ? Some sort of "operation" ?
