  1. personally Im surprised there was 'absolutely;' nothing to answer to . He was frustrated at being heavily tagged. He lashed out. Of COURSE HE BLOODY KNEW WHERE his opposition was.. I mean..anyone suggesting otherwise...get real. but he's Gary....he's special. Was it suspendable? NO was it reportable...of course. Was it excusable..I dont think so a lot wont agree...
  2. it was a day BBO...was nearly ours.. Its the closest Ive ever EVER felt to it ( the PC ) 88 is a drunken memeory...well form halfway through the second qtr..lol 2000 ...wellllllllllllll
  3. maybe I put him off...lol he was in line with my position...I literally was waiting for the ball. All he had to do was a clean simple kick through the ball and Id have gladly taken a specky...hand-balled it back and it went that >>>>>>>>>>>>> way... Wasnt even fn close...gave a new meaning to shanking...lol ( didnt laugh then though ). I cried that day...I wasnt alone
  4. that as literally the kick between us and the flag. Wed have won the week after. I cant blame Jimma ( but how fn dumb...really ) I cant blame Eishold ...but how the feck could you miss miss 25m out on a 45 deg angle ??? I mean..I was going to mark that kick it was so bloody simple... I digress Thing is theres probably half a dozen moments that turned that game. I hate Dipper for that game...but that was Hawthorn and they wanted it more... there was a thuggery about them though...mercenary. I kinda wish we had had it We let is slip...it was there for us to win...alas
  5. that was then.........
  6. May I suggest what used to be served by the "Pancake Parlour" here ( might still do lol ) The works... Bacon Eggs......Pancakes...Hash Potatoes with grilled Bananas !!! MAPLE syrup to garnish!!! get on board that.....and this thread is yours to luxuriate in
  7. a good litmus test for us i dont think we'll get king hit we have NOTHING to lose Port must be maybe a little bit antsy I dont think Roos is going in having penciled a loss in...and Im sure that will permeate through his charges Going to be a very interesting game
  8. being not for profit doesnt stop you making one
  9. I think theres probably 5-6 who'll sigh there own warrants in effect. Either theyve shown their limits or incapacity to evolve etc. Then of course to trade you might need to give X up to get Y. For some they might have the unfortunate timing of contracts work against them I agree itll be fascinating. For a change its not the ONLY interesting thing happening this year I dont think Roos will be Roos-thless, but hes very no-nonsense all the same
  10. couldnt pay me to attend the Dome..
  11. Definitely... A lot of players got a free pass of sorts this time around as he ( PR) wanted to get his own feel of who they are and what they are capable of. That will be known now ( in the main ) So come this trade/draft we'll see the knives out for a good list trim and some inventive ( again ) trading to get in what we need. Paul Roos IS the money ball king, just doesnt advertise it
  12. Concede not everyones ideal. I'd just train and tram ( or walk it ) It that other mob were to build a tunnel metro there was to be a station near by I think. Still all pipedream stuff
  13. Hall started at Swannies in 02...Roos took over in ...yep 2002 Does make for an interesting what if though
  14. Hall was already there before Roos took over. Would he have sought Hall ?
  15. Adam...think beyond. pls Not as what it was , but if brought up to current standards of ameneties and able to hold say 30000 ppl Its a good size, it has scope and its in the right location ( of sorts )
  16. but for the fact that Neeta could always kick ....just saying
  17. I have every faith in our game DL...I also know the western suburbs( of Syd ) a bit. I also understand the nature of how ppl watch and attend games in sydney is almost at a diamatrical opposite to the Vic/Sa/wa/tas and to a point Qld experience.. Once you get out of under age sports in sydney ...no one goes. Well not in numbers that mean anything. The AFL has simply fukked up here. They simply think its a game of throwing money over time. They never heed lesson of others . They ignored money pit theorem. They puffed out their chest and swaggered in and they are sinking in sand. Brer rabbit would be laughing at the clowns in the tar pit !! This isnt even so much about OUR game, though we start from the back markers.....way back ...in the west. Its about the fundamentals of bums on seats and they just dont do it anymore up there. Its used to be about the sports ( Leagues ) clubs. But as they have hit hard times also , and with mergers and closures they arent what they were either. League FFS struggles..AFL has no fn chance long term other than a token presence in Sydney.
  18. I realise Sydney is the goal, but Western Sydney is NEVER the place. it just isnt. Anyone whos lived there or knows it will agree. Its AFL-phobic practically. Canberra was always imho a better subject for time and money. Theres some history and foundation there....unlike the deserts beyond Parramatta !! lol
  19. Just an observation: The way of the Roos is often a seemingly evolving one. I suspect he has firm idea privately, but publicly the goal posts have history of moving a bit. Currently he says . Coach to end 16..fine Successor in place by then Id presume. He could well act as "senior mentoring " coach after 16 say for 1-2 seasons before stepping into a head of Football type position which he has already flagged in a fashion Id be ore than happy with that. The only caveat is we're actually getting somewhere...lol ( which seems to be happening )
  20. it is often mentioned that the wise pick their battles Western Sydney is not the battle for the AFL. Its NEVER..EVER going to win here. So after squillions of dollars and must wasted effort what will GWS achieve for the game. Zilch It actually devalues the brand.
  21. not saying some serious money wouldnt be required, but theres is the foundation for a good ground still...imho
  22. Princess park still has the bones to be a good 'smaller' ground
  23. not sure if 'beating' is actually required
  24. Thats either hopeful or speculative. Id be quietly waiting til he 1) gets back on the park 2) regains at least his early form at the club, let alone building upon it. Dangerfiled is all but 10 times more accomplished than Trenners to dat. Id take Dangerfield on a more realistic offer but I suggest again Im not suaded that this is the way Roos looks to build a side.
  25. i think they count the ground staff too...lol
