  1. Given the success of our Women's team some would sternly argue thats a distinct upgrade then
  2. its been a long year OD ( again ) as a footnote Its about where I thought it would end up, or thereabouts...JW splits this club....so maybe its time he does split this club !!
  3. And none of that actually acknowledges that we are SHlT now does it Saty ?? hmm They've absolutely smashed teams that in turn smashed Casey even with a decent gaggle of Demons present. My point was...we may/could /should win..But it wouldn't be a forgone conclusion. ( especially if its at their place )
  4. Actually theres a difference Some might take the position of Keep, plain and simple, and thats an answer of choice. Others might say, well yeah my first inclination is to keep him,, but i could be persuaded if a decent trade surfaced. So its ambivalent yes but a distinct position ( up there on the fence )
  5. the intent of answers 1 , 3, and 4 start with TRADE, yes there are various outcomes but its hardly ambiguous as to intent Id have thought. By your own reasoning youd accommodate the Keep unless a trade found ( answer 5) as being a "Trade" then ??
  6. Trade, just trade (38 votes [17.84%]) Keep , just keep (89 votes [41.78%]) Trade for Round 1 pick only (24 votes [11.27%]) Trade for what we can realistically expect (42 votes [19.72%]) Keep , unless a really good trade is offered (20 votes [9.39%]) Answers 1, 3 and 4 go directly to trade...offload 104 votes or %48.83 Only answer 2 goes to outright Keeping 89 votes %41.78 the interesting answer is choice 5 . In reality I dont think either camp to lay outright claim to it. its a Keep ..BUT !! if a trade was on then they too are happy to do so. An argument could almost be made to give to either camp so in fairness its not truly a number that can be given or accorded either . therefore currently its 48.83 trade, v 41.78 Keep with 9.39 on the fence so to speak
  7. Re read the results OD...Spec Savers for you !!!
  8. I dont think you can be so blase !! I wouldnt put a cent on us playing them. They exhibit everything about playing footy that we dont. How bad are we ?? Bad enough this could even be debatable
  9. wouldnt even bank on that OD
  10. Not surprised with Riley as he's just starting to get going. After a solid preseason and more coaching I think he'll make an ok nuggetty type. Little surprised by the other two. Still how long did they sign for ? Must be lots of feelers out already regarding trades and such me thinks.
  11. Fulfilling their roles it appears. 3 names off the scrap list
  12. there's a delicious irony though that its written by a man who once headed the team ( the only one ) that sits BENEATH us !!
  13. think he was pick 1 not a PP correction...WAS a pp
  14. purrfectly put
  15. you know you are when during the 3rd qtr your stuck on 14d .....and stragely the bloke next to you helps as he's doing the same cross-word
  16. This isnt altogether an odd notion. its a little odd, but not completely Whilst the likes of Hawthorn created a 'machine' we set about an ideology, with nice desks. Maybe the focus on actual footy wasnt there
  17. Very good article...thanks for the link
  18. yes, but down they will go. Theyve decided upon the all or nothing route it seems. With the NRL muck out of the way ASADA can and will concentrate on Essendon. Benny Boy has , in a veiled way, signaled he's out to get them. ASADA will re issure SCNs if required. There will now be NO leniency. EFC are stalling for time to minimise impact on affected players upon the list. This they are succeeding in to date, granted, but it wont go on for ever. 2015 might prove a tad hard for the Bombers
  19. Id really like to see the Sporting community get louder and more annoyed. Olympians etc have ever right to be dismayed and disgusted. Need some maverick pollie to sugggest a private members bill to look into this kinda thing.. Not the deed per se, but the aftermath and colluded coziness that seems to be the way of the prima-codes.
  20. Is it though/ They've /We've probably tried . I just dont think its in his makeup to be that way. I simply think he doesnt quite get what AFL is as opposed to footy in general. At this level its gladiatorial and hes still in theatrical mode
  21. Hear you...but he's REALLY vague. Im not convinced he's nearly across much of these things as he ought to be..
  22. thanks folks...walls finally breached I wasnt aware Armstrong had been offered a deal. Seems theres a trend amongst the ultra-ego type that they just cant say they did anything wrong.. and then procede to cut of nose to spit their face.Exactly what EFC and Golden boy are doing. They need to look outward and see the likely result.
  23. The body language tells a story. "Gee, what happened there , kinda thiing " "a whats happening? deja vu all over gain He looks mentally whacked. Far from the only one I agree
  24. cant read it Jack....nasty folk want me to pay...lol In a fashion Sport holds too much sway in this country. Its fine to hold up as a role model for effort and success , achievement through dedication etc but with that must come adherence to what I always thought sacrosanct, the notion of 'fair' play. Inits ultimate form fairness is keeping to the rules of whatever sport or code. Pure sport will do this, bastardised sport will look for any leg up. The AFL needs to get its act together.
