Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
beelzebub replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Essendon still trying to set the agenda. Theyll be knocked back into their Little box soon enough . -
carry the team ?? cant stick a tackle ffs. Worlds away carry a team.....cant keep his feet carry a team....cant pack mark to save himself These are just fundamental elements of a game that ANY player should be able to do ( to some level) Jack is a sort of two trick pony. It just wont do, not for any member of the team. There must be basic non negotiables

there must be better returns on investment around

Youll probably find its a bit of a beat up.. WADA/ASADA wont offer anything whilst Middleton is still out there thinking. Essendon are the current kings of propaganda remember. -

Its actually theAFL who hands down the ban . WADA/ASADA wil ldetermin eit but the actual sporting code themselves issues the ban. Just call it unfortunate and/or provacative headlining !!! -

Bombers snub AFL soft bans deal "ESSENDON’S board rejected a quick fix to footy’s drug crisis by which players would serve bans in the off-season and not miss any matches. Bombers chairman Paul Little raised the option with the club’s directors at 3pm on Thursday, hours after a meeting with AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan at AFL House." This is definitely about the club not admitting any guilt lest it open itself to a whole lot of nasty stuff.. Still not admitting isnt the same as being innocent....eh Paul !!!! Players will be collateral damage in a war of egos. Silly silly Essendon -
there may be skills...... no one's found a ticker to date though

probably see himself in the mirror and cack himslef !!!!
-
hes already 6 seasons in....
-
Gil is just vague...period

I have to agree really. My thoughts last year were...ok mate we'll find you a new home if you're not happy....win/win now..................
-
stop it...stop it......

thats it OD..We HAVE to trade this year...for what we can muster. Next season there will be NO mystery left surrounding him
-
Sue. its for others to perceive a value on Watts, in so much as those wishing to trade for. Some here would perhaps cruelly accept a packet of crisps and a coke. I think a problem in assessing players is to apply that 'smoothing' notion of standardisation. It buggered up school reports and its just as meaningless in relation to evaluating players. ( to me ) If you suspect player X of having a particular amount of ability/potential then thats what you measure against. Is he performing up to not just the club's expectations but is he fulfilling and growing into his ability. Forge other players. If a club is looking to trade for him they are looking at HIM and NO consideration is given to anyone else in the team as a way of verifying that worth

got to know when to hold 'em know when to fold 'em !!

This is where the myth needs dispelling Once youre on a list you are that on the list. The club wont be concerning itself much , if at all about the pick number. Roos wont have cared less. HE HAS BEEN TREATED LIKE ANOTHER PLAYER
-
Firstly, in the main those that ticked N/A for keeping do so because the poll requires an answer to all questions. So if you ARE trade, not Keeping the option thats valid to that question is...ta-daaaa Not Applicable. I would have thought Sue that the closest to your thinking to keeping is that all things considered he's playing 'OK"
-
and contribute what ? thats said I think we could wangle a 2nd rounder out of someone....Mick.,.,.....MICK !!!!!
-
all that means is youd hope to get more for him ( than others) , not to keep him for ever and a day
-
yes and no you upgrade the list as you can, when you can. I would think this is the last year we could off load Jack for 'something" before he becomes a write off.
-
anyone else curious why we wore a jumper that introduced a colour the SAME as the home team. I resigned to the notion common sense will never return

Melbourne biggest issue (from an outsider)
beelzebub replied to Bluey's Dad's topic in Melbourne Demons
our biggest issue ? Lazy Individuals Sans Talent -
This is where the view of many , to me , falls down. Hes not the best. He WAS a #1 draft pick but thats only a number and a supposition based upon obviously dubious criteria. He is a skilled but very average footballer. No where near the best The thing is I think we ARE maximising him and thats the problem. No one wants anyone to take ANY responsibility for failure. Well when you cross that white line its all down to you ( the player). No one else is playing Jack Watts but Jack Watts.
