For the first time in a while (years) Ive no idea as to who's who or what's what come this draft. I'm indebted to yhe likes of your good self WJ and those who take the time and interest to garner the wealth of info that we lucky Dlanders have to avail ourselves of. Without doubt we all as a lot seldom all agree on much but we all have this club's success at heart and its as much through the development of the kids and it is the enticement of ready to go's (of varying ability) So who are the ones that suit...thats suit the NEW Melbourne...rule 1 ..get footy players...not elite sportsmen of other ...sports .

Agree..a bit of interest from more clubs is what we want. We're seeing quite the different MFC now i believe. We don't seem to be nearly as silly come contracts and valuation of players going forward. The beast ( it's nature) will still most likely decry that we'll be paying some sort of premium to get elite to us but there's overs and there's OVERS !! This trade period will really tell us how we're travelling.

We have our oft referred to notation...NQR Jack is more BHC Bloody Hard Call !! I genuinely feel for the bloke...but alas...what's best for the club is best for the club and there's always those that get caught in the middle. The thing is...get a player like Kennedy in and he'll give you probably 4 good years of high grade footy. Our own developing players start to come into the mix and you rely less and less on the imports but as you become a better team it actually becomes easier to keep topping up on good players as youre seen as a good place to play footy. its a process..an evolution

Has there been a more over hyped and over rated player for some whiles than this ol' Chip !! I think he can consider himself most fortunate to have been around at t time the Sqawkers were looking for just such a second fiddle. Im not bitter.. I only ever thought he had a couple of decent years and it seemed to me was playing out of his skin a bit. Judging by some rather crude digs at his former club he has some tickets on himself. Roos is no bunny and could read exactly what this bloke was up to. Untimately he did give back to this club. Brayshaw....everything Frawley isnt. ttft !!

Jeffy has slotted in rather well. Better than I had dared think. In a more settled and able team he will shine even brighter I suspect. 50 isnt too far a reach for him id say and thats the sort of incremental advance that suddenly sees you winning some games as opposed to 'honourable' losses.
