  1. Also its a very limited season to begin. By way of comparison ask the Diamonds or HockeyRoos what they get !! Its a start.
  2. Kinda felt dirty having those colours on the screen....lol Certainly has a bit of niggle and a turn of pace..( contrary to many on here's views ) My issue has only ever been with the prudence of taking him and at what cost. Not ,can he play. Goody and Macca rate him. They're no fools and it will be Goody shaping it al from this seasons end so As a push up half back flank he will be a welcome asset when he dons ( sic ) the Red and Blue. I hope he CAN regain his fitness and form. At least he had the sense to leave that scummy lot.
  3. Their season is but two months long to begin.. Theres a pro rata all but. I dont think the lasses with be full time pros for some time yet. Its a beginning. I think it will kick off in a big way. Read an article about a young lady playing in Beauie. . Her male siblings if they were any good could aspire to a career in our great game. Until today she couldnt. Today she can dream, indeed even look to one day playing the game at its highest level. This is awesome. So may little tackers go through all the under age to be met with a brick wall . Boys...keep going...Girls...thanks for coming...you can buy a scarf and beanie over there.... I can see a groundswell of interest translating into the saving of a lot of suburban footy etc...because clever clubs will invoke a womens team. Theres a lot of girls playing a lot of sports currently. Many of them lead to State and National representation just like the boys . Now its fair Some will no doubt just giggle and write this off as some form of Sporting PC folly. Id love to know how many pairs of footy boots get bought by girls in the next few weeks !! Again a big shout out to our great club for helping to pioneer this. Go Dees
  4. In simple terms..push come to shove a player can tell Essendon where to jump. End of story Essendon , as they have throughout this who sad affair have always attempted to muddy waters and run with false truths. They still are. Quite frankly some of these young men must have rocks for brains...or none Some no doubt have been'smooth talked' by the club into continuing.. Major releief for Windy Hill...No huge law suits to contend. Of course the League is in cahoots here also. They will not be advertising the reality of what players can do. The AFLPA ( aka waste of space ) will do their backers bidding here also. A player, if he wishes to leave, invokes breach of contract , spcifically the relevance to players health . Once triggered the AFL is bound to follow its own rules. Here it has a choice though. It can lay its cards down and concede, or make it a long winded process to the same outcome. The EFC and the AFL are playing poker again....they are holding NO CARDS but bluffing big time. The sole determining factor in reality is the player. If someone wants to call their bluff , which they shouldnt have to , they play the "Grievance" Joker. Its still all about mind games. Has there ever been a bunch so morally vacuous and corrupt as this lot from Windy Hill.!!!!
  5. Good to see they went with 8 to begin with. A little sense permeating through. Go Dees
  6. Thought that was an excellent grab.
  7. It's certainly something you would need to be diligent about.
  8. I am gobsmacked anyone wouldn't treat a club that was prepared to play lotto with your health and were more concerned about everything "other" than the players ( really) with anything but contempt. Certainly wouldn't be helping c them. Be running as quickly as could .
  9. Actually hell effectively be one again not long after this season's finished (2016 )
  10. Not aware if already mentioned ( mea culpa if so ) Was extremely impressed with Wattsy's mark in the last. Running straight out of the square but had 2 Maggies running right at him. Took guts to try...and he clunked it. Top effort. He's come a long way
  11. This is more the question. Not what we impact, but who falls over. Seems very improbable we will get over the line.
  12. Is anyone injured? If not I reckon Dees will travel unchanged.
  13. Yes I've seen the forecast. Another massive storm ..Sunny in Melb
  14. Bugger..am actually in Sin city this weekend ( family rubbish ) Can't see me sneaking away for a look see however. Wife is to be godmother at christening. Bugger
  15. Uncle Bitters' Hair transplants seem to have taken hold also.
  16. The Pies haven't a lot up front, undermanned down back and only have some effect through the guts. Picture if you will a bunch of headless black/white chooks running around . Time to cook ourselves some bird !!
  17. Suggest you find a decent bottle of fav plonk and top up. Dees by 50
  18. We need 3 bigger bloke's and 3 small/ mediums as a decent backlines. Tom is fine as #2. a near liability as #1, we need a fullback (rtg real one urgently) 3 bigs. TMac Snowman and new FB. Garland is past it....depth at very best Mediums . Jetta Milkshake & ? ( Maybe Mitch ? ) So there's two possible ?'s to fill.
  19. Gong ye a fat cow or whatever it is they say there Uncle Bitters ( not of Angostura lineage ? ) Just a heads up UB..... some bloke Il Nong of the North..just next door apparently , is after a new nation galvanising sporting focus. An opportunity there for you perhaps
  20. It's Collingwood's big GF for the year... didn't ya know Just another game at the G for US
  21. To figure out who we're chasing might one just consider who we need. No order. 2nd tall kpf/swing ruck Kpb- FB Mids. It's suggesed we may have the fwd requirements covered from within. Definitely need a FB ...a real one Some outside pace....handy Another inside animal...handy. I'd prioritise the FB position, be surprised if club hasn't. Who we chasing ? Ready to go fullbacks.
