Thats very disappointing for everyone. Strangely, believe it or not I've seen the effort that goes into a banner. Not to be sneezed at. When that effort is doubly heartfelt it truly hurts. Im sure Clarry appreciates the effort and sentiment. No doubt disappointing for him as well. Crossed fingers and toes the gods deem fit to calm the winds for a while.

Yep.. certainly wasn't rebuild at start of the season. The only semi successful rebuild this season has been the narrative and even that's not persuasive. Smacks of make it up as you go along. I'm always fascinated that why any FD would attempt a 'new' game plan where upon you don't have the requisite skillsets in enough players. My feeling is you don't and this is why I've always thought that the brain's trust has thought the essential plan was OK, just needed tweaking. That this hasn't panned out to me only reinfthe idea there is much wrong about our footy. On some days our hamfisted approach kinda works... for a while. Better teams pull it apart. So are we still trying to find a version of our game that holds fast , or is it still evolving ( steered or unstirred) and do we know which players can make it work ? Strangely I wholeheartedly believe Goody believes he's onto a winner and we have a core of players to do it. I just happen to disagree

I don't presume ALL who think Goodwin ought to stay are happy clappers but they are certainly numerous. Just as you purport we have dismissed the question mark whilst its still really there.That was always the notion ( imo ) I.e.. Should he stay, should he go ? It all falls as to how anyone quantifies and qualifies their view.. Somewhat classic half glass full or empty or some other fraction. I just question the glass itself. Many might still be here next season continuing the discussion. I would think more evidence one way or the other will surface. I just want us winning. Not fussed who. It's not the norm now and hasn't been for a long while. I've suggested before the end to this season might offer insights. Beating contemporaries isn't a guide it's how we fare when pushed.... how our game holds up.... or not. Bullies, Hawks and Filth will be tests.. They'll tell us much.
