  1. Cornes is a very annoying primate.
  2. Viney IS a captain. Viney's position is far more front and centre ( literally ) If we were asking for Sloane it would be a different story. We aren't. Your analogy is wrong Nasher. Even 10 and 27 with no change is a bit steep. Crows are notoriously aholes at trades.
  3. Its an interesting comparison to Hibberd. Lever currently isnt quite as good imho...not right atm.. He might become better but then we dont know what Pig's ceiling is either. As a 'hypothetical" is Hogan was traded it would definitely be for 2 first rounders or equivalent at least. Lever isnt worth a Hogan so by that comparison Crows demand of 2 x1sts is just quietly between anyone and me.......a crock of shlt !!
  4. imho the 2 picks are just an opening ambit bid( or demand). Hard to mark down from a reasonable price. So set the scene;. They ( or their media friends) have. Game on. Nothing new. I agree as it happens that essentially pick 10...but with a later swap of picks is fair. But it's footy
  5. some very odd decisions about playing on. Both sides really. The advantage rule ( muffed, fluffed and stuffed ) !! All in all some bizarre decisions ( or non decisions ). Had a whole season to get used to it though. A couple of times our lad Jake was somewhat non-plussed about the vagaries of what was happening. Just when he thought they wouldnt blow a whistle for zigging...they would...when they had for zagging and had a Toiges infringe he wasnt given a zac. A couple of times you could read his lips !! What the F ??? The whole 'holding ' thing is very ambiguous
  6. was a bit ( too much ) tiggy touch umpiring re jumpers. Wasnt an equal application through out the day. Lever was no Astaire but did ok at the Big Dance
  7. You actually explain why he does bring some excitement. He's ( JL ) a pretty good disposer of the ball. Very much more often than not the ball goes to someone with advantage. Not even 50% of the time would that be the case at Melbourne currently. I used to play as a forward..( moons ago granted, but the essential elements of the game are still there ) and what I look for in a good defender is a combination of two basics. Firstly they either deny you the ball, or if you do get it they deny you the opportunity to use it as you would prefer. At this Lever is quite good. The opportunity to let Pig and Hunt off the leash a bit more as you suggest is the icing on the cake.
  8. No end of them it seems !! Go figure
  9. Book him in Danno !!
  10. Wonder if he'll turn up ?
  11. nothing will eventuate til Monday cool jets all
  12. might well be that ( 750 ) front loaded at 900 but....who knows...only rumours
  13. probably still making selections like a broken Jukebox !!
  14. made the squad if not the team. Not too shabby Interesting as to who it might have been to beat him to the team's possie
  15. Certainly hope a Mr Goodwin & Co were watching intently. That said, hope our list in the main were also. A particular irony of sorts I thought as Adelaide did to the Pvssies effectively what we did to them !!. We can get it right...sometimes Adelaide's composure under onslaught was a major differentiation last night. Lever seldom seems to get flustered.. Amazing that hes only 21. Old head , young shoulders. Hope we get him .
  16. Many aren't questioning the validity of getting him just discussing where the buy price ( to Adelaide) ought to sit. There seems a fairly broad range as to that.
  17. Be interesting to see where he DOES place.
  18. The money for Lever i suspect is representative of his place in our list ( at todays currency ) more than where he fits into Adelaide's ledger.
  19. This goes to my thoughts hes worth #10 and change , as it were, some exchange of picks or whatever. This round 1 and 2 picks seems to have entered the narrative ( probably past Bordertown ) and is seldom challenged. Some suggest just pay it and move to next , I see that as frivolous.
  20. You chose to change the nature of the context and you full well know it. One has used his 'homesickness' to facilitate 'indefinite leave' . The other's simply an old ruse. You know it. One has the application to to job and club of moment to do his job as vesr he can. The other...god knows. All too much. If you choose to make argument..do it properly. Dont posey pick to suit. Youve been caught out. Sort ofstuff a cheap tabloid would employ. As to admitting wrong. When ever your ready.
  21. I thought you knew something of football. That youd trot out such an assinine comparison quite frankly beggars belief. The background and qualifications to both circumstances couldn't be more different than chalk and cheese.
  22. Get real. Ones Actually been playing all year. Other sookilala.
  23. If hes that bloody good why is he getting away ? Homesick..really !! So the guys mentally brittle ??? Yeah...lets add another one ffs
  24. Me too. I like Roos' take on the draft. A lottery . Best to trade later for more of a known entity. But there are drafts you might want to go shopping in. I believe '18 is one such draft.
