Why we hate the Hawks
That particular bump on Robbie...was actually a sandwich... Dipper one side...guess who the other !! ???

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Keep in mind any 'talk' for public consumption will invariably always push the status quo. Coaches are always backed...players always needed. No one EVER goes anywhere ... officially...til they do . It's the company line. You wouldn't really expect the MFC to say anything different...3 weeks from grabbing our next flag !!

Meanwhile . . . down at Glenferrie Road . . . .
We're getting good at killing Giants Reckon we have reason to believe.

Going to be a cracking game.. Clarkson is no noob, but Hardwick's game bested him. Some reasoned and some not so much views from Glenferrie. The same will be said of us surely. I reckon we'll outlast them in a dire contest. We actually seem to be getting better, more resilient and hardened. I respect the abilities of Hawthorn. They should return the same. A nice time to avenge 87 and 88 We're coming off 3 wins against top 8 teams...they have had some good ..some bad..some so-so results of late. Again...a cracking game awaits

Farewell Jesse Hogan
No logical reason ? Kidding right ? I'm not for PUSHING him out the door. But enquiries WILL come... offers will come. Everyone needs to look at those rationally. If Jesse feels he wants to go then there is opportunity for us to trade ... and to use your boat analogy...a boat better suited to maybe a Mid role. There are better boats than Jesse for this..better established boats. Jesse in other roles is the actual unknown.

Reasonable invariably refers to reason. Stupidity is of the stupid. Some can discern. Some just don't like the idea. To them it's unpalatable. That's just preference.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Just highlights the stupidity of that post. Nothing more. There's been for the most a reasonable discussion about the various aspects of Hogan and what might prevail or transpire. None of this has any relevance to another's ridicule.

Cheers.. thanks for clarifying that LH

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Then again Mr Pony Man...it would surprise many if the subject was left alone. Someone once suggested....youre only as good as your next game.. That can be expanded upon in many directions...but ultimately its common denominator is what value a player to the team/club....not hypothetically...but really.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
A discussion with said PR at the Duke I think it was a number of years back , after he had aired the notion of Free agency and what you ( as a club do to 'contain " it ) held that its not so much a matter of a player proving anything...its about a club KNOWING exactly where it sits in the whole bigger picture. Yo always want to retain your best players but you are always going to see players move around. His thoughts were pretty much simply you get on the front foot and dont wait to be held to ransom as it were. Mr Roos looked at things very holistically...as do I . Again he was very matter of fact. I dont believe he was referring to Hogan at all as that wouldnt have been on the radar back then. It was a generic style discussion. At this moment I insert Jesse into that scenario. I would be very surprised that if Jesse was playing with us next year it wouldnt be on a new contract.

strangely thats exactly what Roos discussed. Its about a club

My understanding is the new elgibility guidelines ( yet to be sanctioned by the AFLPA ) would have Jesse as an RFA at next seasons end. Happy to be corrected on that.

I think it was actually Roos who suggested you ought to try to get an expected free agent to sign a year out...or indeed look to make the best of the situation with a view to trade. He was just being very matter of fact if recall this correctly. Whilst I concede Moonies acknowledgement that Hogan owes nothing more than already agreed to it would be a prudent course of action to protect our ( MFC ) position Ive no problem at all with the notion as outlined by X Flash My focus is on us winning a flag...and who knows what might happen still this year... But after that the EOS circus I think will throw up quite a few situations and offers that are going to test the mettle of clubs. Ours being one

Am currently reading Red Fox. Fascinating that all of this is de rigeur. This always should have been so,but I can fathom it's not always possible with all people. 'Beaudy' Norm

The curse of Norm Smith will only be lifted by playing as he did and by his creed. All for one and one for all. Go Dees.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
The club must have a plan. They won't go to him with a rubbish offer...our track record of recent times suggests otherwise. I'm bloody curious.
