As you invite the history lesson I'll oblige. Irrespective of the land the OP clearly refers to the sporting ground, the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It didn't exist before it was built. A moot and silly point to some but it clearly gives context. It's built upon land granted to the club (the MCC ) . It's stadia , original and up til the Olympics make over was down to the Club (MCC ) Recent times have seen ownership wander around and ultimately back as public property but under the caretaking of the MCG trust. As to who's ground it originally was...As in whose facility ? The MCC. We were as the MFC part of the MCC. We ran away as it were....but came home. It's never really been the people's ground.Its just the BEST one

Totally agree. He seems quite at home in finals. Some saying fumbly but a lot of players have difficulties at times with ball zipping around. He still is quite calm...still taking excellent grabs...and when you NEED to !! Maybe me...just don't see that Smith is BETTER just atm...and in context of finals.

My only real thinking re Fritsch is he's been, like most the team adjusting quite well to the tempo and pressure of finals footy. We bring in someone else who isn't ? Bit odd to me.
