well.... i'm quietly crossing all fingers and toes... This really OUGHT to be a gimme.. but I take your view and secretly hope it's just a case of severe MFCSS !! lol Lose to Saints....just book your september holidays now

    not enough
  5. My inference was it's not always up to any individual....not if cards are stacked against you. if there is no actual way forward...then you dont progress. Jack Watts did not fit a particular's mould...Nor does Jeffy...( and a few others ) Spargo already has the authority to play...when HE gets his act back up. Perhaps my Catch 22 hints missed the target

This ^^^^^^^^ (agree with rest also ...but especially the AGENDA issue)
  7. Goschs is effectively by a road in the middle of nowhere. Yarra Park IS the MCG...the home of Football....our home. Despite only being a kilometre or so apart they are worlds apart. Only a diehard D will ever go to Goschs....no one else cares or knows. Family day is often at Luna Park or somewhere kiddy friendly. The club obviously dont think that much of Goschs either. There's no sense of belonging...on the south side of swan st.
  8. The location of the training base is irrelevant to just about every point youve chosen to go with regarding this topic. Its a choice of locale to do a job and speak to the clubs heritage and bithplace. Ppl dont follow a club because of where it trains...not as such. Jolimont IS a pretty accessible place. There are more points of travel embarkation than that that might access the world at Richmond alone. A home for the club is for the entirety of the club...admin and Football . As to the idea of recognition there could be generations that grow up noticing a football club next to the G...not of yellow and black lineage but flying a Red and Blue flag right next to the home of footy. Would never happen across the road.

Let the 'mute' be your friend
  10. Yes and no....some crumbers up the sharp end might not have hurt...not height !!

Something , i at least , always keep in mind with CW is she has deep family links across this game. She feels the 'wronging' that's supposedly been endured and whenever possible has a sly dig in retaliation. Its a shame as she does often have an interesting insight. I just find myself often questioning her motive or cause celebre.
  12. Redifines Idiocy. In a gamed defined by a scoreboard, apparently scoring isnt a priority. You're an absolute Einstein in your lunchbox. You have mates

Was it us so much shutting shop or having our doors closed by someone else ? Thats how i see it. We do ok til we're denied....then we're stuck !!
  14. Yossarian might argue that point. Spargo seems to have the seat in front. Tbh...if Jeffy id be reconsidering where my future lay.
  15. Keep me on ignore...you don't deal well with facts do you. The refining was in season.. and you have the hide to call me capt obvious.. youre capt oblivious Change at Richmond came because of CHANGE.. wholesale change. If thats obvious then paint me 20 shades of it
  16. In season ? Their real turnaround happened out of season. The box was turned up side down and shaken violently. At the same time the list was looked upon with big red textas. There were fine tunings In Season...but it was a different car effectively.

I find it hard to ' give' us some games simply on the basis we should .. The bogey game for me is Freo in Darwin. I want us to win....i struggle to envision it. Ive been ( for me ) quite chipper in other games. I have us finishing 9th. That's also a result of some other team's run home and being even stevens about how they might go. Ive been relatively conservative on scores. Blowouts here or there may well alter the finish. 9th....hmmmmm☹️ ...maybe we are following in Richmond's footsteps !! ?

Well....thats definitely a better thing...escaping the basement ??? Alas the real party isin the Penthouse...and we're not in the right lift atm

Yes Ernest it is a perspective...but to me one that glosses over the myriad of variables and differences between us and any them. It's not just a case of time /wait and see etc. A lot more happened at Punt Rd than games into bods

She can be such a nasty vile thing at times
  21. It's very likely hes now a square peg where round holes exist. I dont think he's the style of player the 'brains trust ' seek. If he's set effectively an impossible requisite how long would anyone bother ? It's easy for some to say it's up to him but i very much doubt it. Its up to Goody...up to Macca etc I wonder if Jeffy is familiar with the writings of Heller ??

Yes we are..... and even you start describing how ! All we are is a yo yo middle order team at present. We need to stop kidding ourselves. There are many things to cheer about....but beating up cellar dwellers loses its shine when a 'real' team shows up with the resulting reality check. Currently we're mutton dressed as lamb in that when you look closely the truth stares you back. We can only hope to emulate Richmond's progress and success. The Toiges turned the corner when they brutally looked introspective. They realised what they were doing WRONG and set about changing that ( and the personnel ) We might need to follow suit.
  23. Youd be forgiven for thinking hes out of favour ( carrying a marked card ) ..eh ?

Barney if he's not on a plane or a boat somewhere the poor ol' thing needs to be somewhere ?
