I see no short term change for much of the Vic teams. I do have a gut inkling that we , strangely enough may emerge as a strength after we make camp in the new tent.. That and the brand development curretntly underway my the MFC. No immediate results but over say the next 5-10 years as the Identity of "MELBOURNE" becomes stronger...partly througth the team M concept then a comparitive betterment of the Demons I feel will emerge. again nothing really to pin that on...just my thoughts. p.s what happens to Phoenix's participitation now ?

i too was surprised that Russian was in the lead.. no offence to Jamar..but he's a bit one dimensional. Grooming anyone to compliment Jeff is ludicrous.. we are trying to REPLACE Jeff.. ( no offence either to White..but facts are facts) PJ has a bit of a game in him..and will continue to get better. I have this feeling that Jamar is plateuing !! Now Johnson and Neaves...now thats a prospect !! :-)

just to clarify... we can as a club proactively delist 6? does this not incluse any who may be asked/coerced/allowed to retire ? how do trades affect the overall in these scenarios? how exactly does the rule/s work ? I happily admit to being not 100% sure...happy to have informed contributions :-)

the quality I lik emost about this guy ? He is really really REALLY is serious about impacting. Im sure he questions th efforts of some of his brethren...and I like that. This guy a is a born leader...and when he takes that mantel ...the others will know that they better be putting in 110%. what are anyones thought s about possibly Sylvia as CHF.. some may think him a tad short .. but he's still 6'1' ( i beleive ) and with a good grab..and he likes attacking goals.. can set up plays in a forward manner. he seems lost at times in the middle. just an idea. Jarka..like yourself Id like to see any folly of ideas about accomplishing anything other than foundations for next year simply binned. A good chance for some on field mentoring. if done this would emphasise the 'playing of the game " in respective positions. Like any onthe job training it may not alwasy meet with immediate succcess. So to reiterate a postion I hold..you play to hone and learn.. not to win at all expenses.. ( again..its not flying the white flag, just accepting reality) Its actually a positive move, just no results in next 5 mins. We'll need to get a bit lateral, accept the failings...and just get on with development

an aspect of White's comment which is truly descriptive of Melbournes woes...is that he must include himslef in that judgement and yet he seemingly casts it out as a generic...or was his tongue firmly in his cheek ?( doubt it ) We have flawed leadership at Melbourne..lets just admit it. we have an absolute champ of a bloke withthe cap..but his onfield ability is limited at FF...and I will say this til th ecows come home. I mean what exactly can anyone do tto rally the troops when you languish in the goal square with no ball coming your way. The rest of the so called leaders seem incapable of pointing the way out of a wet paper bag!!! So in a way White is dead right, but he must include himself in this message. Whethter as guilty as some is moot as its the job of 'that; group to lead...and they dont, if anything they seem to go awol on an oh to constant basis. White does hit upon part of the solution of melbournes woes and that is only so much will happen will happen whilst the 'old guard' are at the helm. As heretic as this will sound I mean all the old guard, thats pretty well all the oldest of players and the more entrenched of the coaching panel. Melbourne wont go foward truly til the new breed come through, hungry and determined and judging from some of the frustrations already eminating from some of them a desire to see beyond the pathetic 'week to week' but eyes firmly on a premiership.

I dont share your pessimism on this matter. I see there is definitely a way forward. For sure some personel changes will ring out come season end> With a more stable board with goals being kicked off field, a new home beckoning I sense its the prelude to a new era. As others dance the jig of unsure homes and hearts Melbourne whilst not brilliantly succesful on the turf at the moment is cementing its place in this city. have faith...believe. it wil lhappen....just not overnight !! :-)
