I would always give a player some finals exp over worrying about a few weeks of traiing !!

Very disappointing for the Melbourne players concerned. Be interested to know the REAL reason. maybe its insurance as suggested.. but with al due respect..that specualtion at the moment.) i.e why suddently an issue ? ) Interested to know what actually transpired.

To be honest...if we cant haul our arses off the bottom next year.. we really ought to give it all away. Many of the list cloggers will be gone. Younger legs will be biggerand fitter. Some genuine talent wil be more experienced and a bit of excitement with some decent picks comig up. We are in the box seat in a fashion to lift off. If we cant do it next year with the picks at hand. then we wont certainly after. All teams face the 'drought'..we have a head start on rebuilding. We needed to bottom this year..no question about it.. but any talk of continuing this trend in order to furnish some ridiclous idea that finishing last all the time is a "good' thing needs to finish. We wont be world beaters next year..but we wont be floor mops either. its NOW time to stop talking about LOSING..and start thingking about WINNING We will probably be one of the last teams ( outside of the favouritsm of the AFL ) to get a decent crack at players. lets just choose well and get on with it

Allow me travel times havent really changed a lot.. just more cars. Eastlink moves reasonably well at present ( its tolled) Well..without being toooo flippant. This is always the silliest ( to me )of questions . Everyone has to travel somewhere..from somewhere else. Why do people seem to think players live right next to the G ?? They can get into cars and drive like everyone else in the working world etc. Im sure a few scheckles in tolls are compensated for It may take some players..oooh 45 mins to get to training.. such an impost isnt it. Keep in mind not al ltraining is ever at the "training location" often , esp in summer , particular locations are sited for particular drills ( or punishments etc ) . if they cant make it to training. maybe we dont want them !! <_< Its a job..they can travel. Ultimately travel time just depends on where your comig form doesnt it ?? They have trains and all sorts of things.... life is marvellous now..truly about an hour..a bit more.. No different than coming from Frankston really etc. You HAD to bus it or drive to Artic park.. dont lose too much sleep for anyone coming from Casey..Im sure they'll manage just fine Only teams with a good bank account can even entertain the notion of their own VFL team... thats not us. Its alovely luxury for those teams that can..we'll just have to carry on regadless. Good players get through

Oh..isnt that crafty of Vlad's littel puppy !! They'll linitially 'suspend" the P-Picks.. but with no intention of returning them I sense. This solves the 'tanking" dilemma fo them..whilst also crippling teams into submission with respect to "have we got a deal for you " !!.. a little thing called relocation etc. All part of Vlad's great plan no doubt !!

I notice on the tellie that Graeme Downey still seems to think the new club is a littel hard done by and really wants more ability to snare redy mades !! FFS. Downey..Get ya club up and runnig and train a few boys !! Its what we have to do and your getting more than a share on a plate. They seem to think its their right to be 'very' competitive come the first AFL year.. i.e top eight ( nine..fifteen or wahtever Vlad goes with ) MEMO to GC..we owe you lot nothing...youre the newbies.. you have to earn respect and position.. otherwise it means nothing...still given they are the "nothings' maybe this is where his misconception begins !! <_<

Cyril for me as well. Aaron had a good first year with some great moments, as he still does..( though I fid him also one of the most frustrating at the club ) Cyril had a GREAT year ..simple as that

I think in many ways its all bets off regarding leadership at present. I think Bailey is more intent on simply gettig a bunch of blokes who supposedly can play football..to do exactly that, but properly...and all the time !! I have no doubt the tasks and efforts that Bailey has in mind for the list once it starts back will naturally elevate the leaders. No sense prejudging and/or limiting the potential of the group by prematurely annointing anyone.

This sounds about right to me also. Somehow I just cant share your faith in the amount of game time we might get from messrs Rivers & Moloney. We will start to work next year; not mesh magnificently..but we ought to start playing a much more coherent game of footy with much better confidence.
