and we went so far says more about the state of the team , all in all. Still more seem to gloss over his faults in consideration of his efforts. Results are all that count after 4 qtrs !! There is simply not much in the way of common ground with views towards Bruce. Again give him a more negating role... just dont let him have to do anything with the ball !!
-
gets me why more dont use this... set and forget..too easy. They ( MFC ) ought to push this a bit more...the monthly direct debit method. You dont really even notice it
-
in the end ..its all a bit To-may-toe.. Ta-mar-to Poe-tay-toe Pa-tar-ta isnt it !! How ridiculous in many way that we are afforded the best two in the draft...and we're worrying over perceived bragging rights. Simple solution...make them joint 1st picks and be done with it :D To think this is the worst we have to worry about.. roll on 2010

given that Ball manager Connors is only all too familiar with what we are doing..what was he attempting to do...ask questions of himself ?? Totally illogical Id invest in an albino elephant..... be worth a bloody fortune !! if that players manager was a certain Liam Pickering id take it with more than a decent dose of scepticism <_<
-
not too shabby for this time of year. MFC really needs to push it along again after last years success. So much to utilise... what with the new faces about to sign on and such. Somehow they need to package xmas packages .. Maybe some brownie points or discounts in the shop for every 'gift" membership a current member organises

Id much rather Bruce be assigned a 'negative' closing down role than anything offensive
-
skills and better decision making...not too much for an AFL level player surely.. . How Im glad Im not ever on the end of his hospital passes. You can all go bury your collective heads in the sand.. but thats the kind of player Bruce is.,., Apllies himself ..for sure.. invariably 100% effort.. no argument.. results ?? ah..there's the rub !!
-
I am realistic..if we cant convince him to play via the PSD ..then why bother ? We have a great young list. . There is talent and prospects abound. Hell the only way is UP for us. listen to Bails.. he all but says this here..video-Herald Sun Bailey Oct 12 He ( Ball) has to want to play for Melbourne.. Bailey has already shown us what he thinks of those that dont. Why would you draft an unwilling player ??
-
I again suggest that if we need to get him via a draft pick as opposed to the more logical PSd then he doesnt really want to play with us...if he does..we dont need to draft him in the ND. Am sure some mention of this is made in discussion from MFC to his camp. To use a pick quite frankly is just dumb..and this is what the MFC are saying...we arent dumb. Play with us or dont.. but dont waste our time as we wont yours.

Jesse Smith walks out on North Melbourne
beelzebub replied to Demon_Tingles's topic in Melbourne Demons
Theres a hell of a lot of something NQR about al this. North not going to have the facilities ? rubbish.. They will beat us just about. Nup..something terribly fishy about Smith.. and quite frankly it smells.. happy for him to keep right away. -
The thing is... if the MFC can convince Ball to come over...then we surely would not NEED to use any of those first 4 picks as he would already be on the same page as us. He would appreciate the extra value using a pick on another value adding kid rather than essentially wasting it on himself !!

Id still ask the question...consistent what ?
-
Hear Hear !!!!
-
well yes..if only for as much as said, that is, the ability to hold the tag of #1..the scrutiny and expectations etc. Agree RR is all but numeric semantics but there is an argument that can be made
-
still more likely to utilise Bradshaw now down back
-
Hmm the more I think about this the more I like the idea of Ball coming our way....perhaps !! . Now he's off on two weeks r & r Im sure he will do little else in all reality but contemplate his options. if he nominates for the ND ..even with conditions , then he is NOT the master of his destiny and is in all reality no better off in that regard than should he stay at Linton Ave. His only real chance of securing a gig on basically what amounts to is agreed terms but based on his desires IS to come to Melbourne. We really arent too shabby. Forget the drivel about being the current spooners.. Come round one all bests are off etc. You make the best of what you have and deal with it. Ball has been a captain. He is a leader. Quite frankly Lyon must have rocks in his head in respect to his treatment of Luke ,let alone the (possible ) lost opportunity of his greater involvement in the GF A midfield with the seasoned experience of Ball, with Jones and Moloney together with the injection of Scully and Trengove ought to be quite apetising I would have thought for someone like Luke. He has the opportunity to see success and be a major contributing player in it rather than an inconvenience elsewhere. Whomever are the leading lights of selling the MFC , they ought to be polishing up their act !! Ball is not brilliant..but he;s very good... He's consistent and stable..a good head. Where's Barass ?? lol :D
-
well summed up... & hardly our best defender.
-
if Vardy was still around at 18 id bag him. Dont think he'll last that long though.. still..who knows :D
-
the somewhat irony is that Ball himslef could act as a part -catalyst for the fortunes of the club and in so himself.. The Ball is literally in Balls court ..
-
yep...hes rolled them for sure and time will tell us whether its box-cars or craps !!
-
Jolly playing for free is he ?
-
yep... and can have 150g the next 2 not that theres any reality to the prior suggestion. Am sure Connors will be trying to exact the best deal whilst also suggesting the Dees arent such a bad option .
-
theyre looking at next year as a real chance.. dont blame them either...will put a few dollars on them as top 4 at least.
-
Im learning ... could be another like Garland.. happy to see what he does next year.
