as theres nothing particularly footy , let alone Melbourne about this ..its just hot air blowing by the for and against mobs etc take it to the lounge..huh !! surely this is just rubbish general discussion
-
To be honest I don't play it . Can't be bothered. A couple of good mates do. Mumford is at about 450 ... Jamar at 400 Jolly at 388 Sandilands at 550 Russian is pretty good value
-
Beyond the sarcasm I'd suggest he and thereby his consistency etc is better known now to the many than say at this time last year. PN that basis I would have thought he'd be valued higher.
-
heres an idea...use more words.. Construct a point of your own..and explain it. Again..ive reread his post but it goes nowhere in acknowledging any value that Jamar ought to have in 2011..
-
and doing so accomplishes exactly what ?? My contention.. which seems to escape.. is that why would you not consider Jamar in the up and coming season as value in Supercoach..esp when compared to others. If his value was underated or not fleshed out in 2010 it ought to most certainly be in 2011. So Thomo..what exactly is YOUR point cheers
-
The article in that manner makes not a lot of sense , imho. It rates Fraser...come on !!! lol Ushers in Smith whos done what exactly ?? Jamar was the leagues #2 ruckman for 2010. He went under th eradar for many last year as they simply didnt rate him...hell many of us were just as surprised ( happily ) as to the manner in which he stepped up during the season. He ought to by rights even refine his craft and polish his form further in 2011. To not mention him is , for mine, plain dumb and ignorant. How can you seriously rate a ruckman whos been dumped from one team and only really gets a gig at the other for doing a Bradbury really. GC couldnt get anyone better and they'll be crucified at teh bounce all year as a result... Good !!
-
Six Ruckmen on the Radar and amazingly this article fails to mention AA Ruckman, Demon Mark Jamar !! Are we as a team just not still anyones cup of tea ? Is the Herald losing its touch ? Is the article somewhat weighted purely for impact...or just igmorant ? The only real comp for Russian is Sandilands...maybe I should be happy others still havent come to terms with that

talk about dogs and bones people...hes a Dermon next

Now i may well be on the wrong track and happy to be corrected but I would suppose the NB Mfc jumpers are 'colored' as is pretty std these days via dye sublimation. Effectively the design is printed. Often in printing and digital displays colour can veer away from true as a result of the medium used to display. There are corrective balances used when this occurs. The overcoating or fixing can also effect what the eye sees. Most causes for incorrect colour are as result of the old si-so fault. Ie sh!t in -sh!t out!! It isn't uncommon for differing media to represent differently. The socks (woven from dyed thread) would probably always look a tad different as refract differently but those jumpers just look the wrong colour. Simple. Schwabby is on record as saying the most important thing at the club , and I presume in iconic form, is the jumper. There can be mo accepting of near enough. To do do effectively sets the tone for all things. It needs to be right. All things needs to be done right, as is the tenet of the MFC.
-
Acutually Jaded though I respect your involvement in that industry it really is all but as simple as Someones stuffed up. We , the club will have spec'd a colour. Pantone graded it. Given samples etc . NB then have to make THAT colour which ought to be a deep blood red. You know full well crimson isn't even close to that. Don't you !!
-
So Jaded why can't THEY get it right ? Other teams with other gear can all seem to manage it. Stop making excuses for them.
-
The jumpers are a pinkish crimson. That's a different colour base to red. Making it darker or otherwise still makes it a pinkish crimson just a darker one!! Bit like turquoise and aqua .Two different colours if similar. NB have simply got it wrong and considering where they're made that's kind of funny for surely the Chinese know what f%#ing Red is !!!! If still not convinced play in Photoshop or similar and toy with a colour pallete and see just how close ( or not) pink actually is to RED. Not nearly as close as some might think. Red is a primary colour. It's pure. Differing hues are achieved with tints etc. Pink actually has some blue in it. Now we do want red and blue on the jumpers ....just as Seperate colours... Not mixed !! Again, it shouldn't be that hard... Someones simply f'd up !! So fix it.
-
its offical...the sky is falling !!!! Footy season cant come quick enough !!! Im not sure how some of you manage your existences....worrying over everything real and imagined !!! Lets just focus on round one huh ! one step at a time stuff...im sure many of you can manage that...if you really try
-
My understanding is that the jumpers are now supposed to be a deep blood red. The jumpers are nothig like a blood red. Fail. Correct it NB..simple. Compare to socks..different. I realise diferent materials present in diferent ways.. different refraction etc. So you tweak and correct for this. They are simpy wrong at present. Red is red.. They are presently a crimson-pink...ironically pretty much a fuscia !! The colour specced by Melb will be given as a Pantone number. Just like in printing you correct for different media. I dont see Essendon having a problem with red..I dont see St kilda having a problem with red.. ( seeing red.... maybe !! ) Sydney seems ok... It cant be that bloody hard.!! Keep chucking them back til they get it right...or quite plainly p!ss them off and we'll get some outfit who know what they're doing.

Well we all have to earn a quid. Good luck to you nr in your new position. Im sure GWS will benefit from your experience and good character.

Campbell was touted before his achilles, to be a likely candidate for nab cup action. Of who knows where Juice would have come in team discussions suffice to say seldom is any clubs whole best 22 the likely makeup of such games.
-
As an addendum it should be noted that not only the Dees but Port as well as the Crows have injuries. Nothing should be considered as forgone !
-
Nab cup ! Weird untried format ! Expectations ? None What I want to see ? A more than competitive nature. I want to get those cobwebs well and truly blown away. Like to see some semblance of skillful execution. Want us to look and play like a top 8 team. But win at AAMI preseason ? Hmm , not holding breath nor really worried . Thinks it's more of a shakedown series for us before we really come out fair dinkum and firing with ourpreferred line up. Still what I'd really like to see is any that are given an opportunityto play to sieze the chance and wring it for everything it's worth.
-
If NB have stuffed up then they probably are contractually obligated to have correct jumpers by whatever date. If that means some bloke gets on a plane with empty suitcases then that's what they have to Do. The club should accept nothing less than correct and on time.
-
Wasn't there a known issue with the first delivered guernseys ? If they aren't blood red then quite frankly the club ought to chuckem back at NB with a please explain .. And FIX !!!
-
Just amazing how they were able to distinguish between teams. You realize in Vlads world that would have been unacceptable lol. Golly how did the players manage it !!! (tfic) Returning to seriousness., you can't really take too much out of games lime these, other than general fitness. It is however an opportunity for wannabes to have a dip and put their hand up. Seems like a couple did just that and thats good. Next Friday will be far more educating as to where we might be. Disappointing re Petterd as looking for big things from him from this year on. Watts just needs to keep stepping up and knowing(believing) he's very much a real part of the scene now. Well done and keep at it Jack.I rey think Beamer needs to swap a little of his anger for savviness. Big bang footy isn't always the best option. Good to hear Rohan's keeping up the efforts. Think might be his 'co Ing of' season. Surprised to hear of Marics kicking. S'posed to be his forte ! A question to those that watched today, any discernible improvement from kickins ? Who took them? Was the linking up improved? Tia and great reports folk

Frawley aims for Round 1 Good news Chips recovering faster than expected and aiming for a possible Round 1 return. even if he misses that target he ought not miss to much footy this year which is good for him, the club and all of us wishing him and the club success !!
-
Maybe they just need some Bromide on their Wheaties !!!
-
But it surely must go to saying that whaever policies and mentoring are in place at this club...its just not working. StKilda ,for those that have ever stepped a little closer than sheer spectating will have often observed a very strange culture. Its morphed over the years but its essence persists. Theyre a strange mob indeed. It is I agree in itslef nothig more than a few lads being dopey!! lol. But taken together with other events it reveals a club in turmoil. I used to have a soft spot for the Sainters...but now they are just laughing stock !!
