Schwabby is on record, as I read it that there will be onle ONE Blue to be associated with the Dees. Dark Navy Blue. Non-negotiable

On one hand all this clashing is somewhat bemusing . God knows how we all managed years ago . How did we ever survive days of muddy grounds ? And yetsomehow we did . But if the powers that be demand a clash strip and if we for the moment worry less about what others do or don't do in this regard and purely focus on what WE do then it needs to be practical and befitting this great club . I applaud the club for now veering away from the pop-graphic or cartoonish efforts. Let's get it right and stick with it so in time it will become as entrenched and as recognizable as our glorious home guernsey !!

might set up the dart board !

Ive come to accept we need to have white. Big of me no doubt some will say and who cares others. All fair comments. Im just voicing my thoughts as I like a handful of others here have been dallying with ideas for years on this forum. Cam tells a good account. Im glad to hear it will have a MCC feel. Im wondering if it wil be along those lines Clint Biscuit , I and a few others toyed with some whiles back. Looking forward to seeing them. I have faith they will look like a decent FOOTY jumper with heritage origins entirely suitable for this great club of ours. I do like that he ( CS) desires dark shorts as I just dont like the all white look for us. Funny , we, as a club were told we had no brand. Seems we do

As to previous convolutions I obviously got it wrong..having read off another post that GC has the 4 lockaways when of course its GWS.. You get some wrong..lol As an aside.. what ability or limitations are there regarding any ability to train with Melbourne form time to time ? Is there a permission required or is than complicit within our arrangement with young Jack ?
-
getting cute arent we... they have more PREMIERSHIPS !! try spinning that !!
-
Emmas lateral radar must be on the blink. Gws could grab him by devious means . ( could have) GC could have prelisted himmand GWs could have been the recipient of the on trade. They'd have the most picks to trade and WOULD have to secure such a talent. MFC have thought it all through. They just shut the gate. Well done
-
Fair dinkum some of you'd complain if you won 1st div lotto !!! Lol Melbourne wanted him. He's a football prodigy and we snared him, and fairly cheaply really. The Dees are going from strength to strength. There's no real downside. Can all the Ckickenlittles just go somewhere ... Far . .. far .. AWAY !!!

The Vineys will be on the Run Home after 4 on sen today

Anyhoos well done to the club Fantastic effort by Schwabby & co. If Victoria is the place to be then Melbourne's the team to be in
-
Red that's what I thought . HeraldSun suggests not til 012. I don't see why not. I can see no reason he can't transfer from sanfl to vfl.
-
Seems not eligible to play for Scorps ti 012. So might all be moot
-
What doesthat really accomplish. He's just about too good for the Sa u18 comp and had he stayed would be starting in the Roosters ressies in 11 so why not bring him along in the Scorps ? TAC is for boys. Viney will outgrow that very quickly
-
Does that mean he can now play with the Scorps in 2011 ?
-
Happy to be wrong :) The Jack collection grows !!!!
-
Don't think we can grab Viney just yet. I think lolI

A new major sponsor out of China ?
-
Lol . For a sec there I thought , how cool, they've even used my name for the promo of the personalized mug . Then it dawned on me. It's a hot day !!!
-
why not ?

If its a choice between Petterd ( fit ) and Dunn id choose Petterd any day. Just plays with far more aplomb and strikes me as having more strings to his bow. He doesnt fade in or out either. Dunn gets lost at times ( a worry ) . His game has improved , going by latter of last year but its still not an A game.. Going to be interesting to see how the fight goes for forward possies from here on in.

Kinda curious as to what perc utilise the direct debit method. Your membership just rolls over. You dont even need to think about it..Too easy. I appreciate for some with multiple ( family etc ) type payments it might be a bit before xmas but for most its very simple. I do edit : didnt see that post above ..lol

There is NO logical reason to even consider him. Its inventive journalism at best and p!ss poor at worst. Lets see. Draft over, nothig much happening, lets make up sh!t !! Bit like the new Old Spice ad. Look at me ( MFC ) look at him -Hansen , now look back at me ( MFC ) Hes not me !! end of story

Quite possibly. There is nothing in concrete at all and we all know that and thats for the main why there is no obvious answer. My words were somewhat directed to any whos thinking is that Watts CANT play the square. A goodly type... tall athletic menacing with a decent leap might well provide fodder for a switchhit role. He is young but i sense the club wont be closetting him for that long. we now have a very decent grab bag of forwards. Be very interesting to see how ( npi) it all pans out
-
The sixty four dollar question is and has been for a long while who stands the square. Its really our missiing link of a forward attack. No one has really nailed it. Thats not just my thoughts but must surely be the reasoning behind th eclubs motive to seek a solution. Weve rolled the dice big time this draft . Cook and Howe seem the obvious directions. But Cooks forte is apparently mor ethe lead up variety. Watts has been played al lover but for mine thats just part of his education. Howe seems a natural as a FF but maybe its as a pocket thief that will see him shine a la Robbo style. I really dont see why Watts cant stand the square but allow the whole structure fluidity to adjust to the game. Id probably agrre it might not be his full time home, now or ever. But possibly become his prime role. Something to grow into. A good and injury free preseason ought to see him more suited to the role and become more at home with it as time spent there increases.

Ahhh ... Needed a laugh for mon morning . Thanks for the giggles from the anti-Watts brigade. If he was a selfish kid he might have kicked a few more himself but then probably wouldn't get the match time. If at the end of 2011 he's not lighting a few fires then maybe some cause for concern but I doubt that. I agree with those that think of the noobies Howe might get a gig first. I'll acede to other's thinking for the moment and offer up a Howe Green Petterd line up at the sharp end. Possibly Sylvia Watts and Jurrah at half forward line. Be interesting to see how the preseason evolves and who puts their hand up. Casey ought to go ok next year you'd have to think
