No sh!t Sherlock !! but you can pantone grade the orignal colour and balance match to new products...its what they do yo know..( or apparently didnt !! ) Balance that is unless your NEW !!

My take..is that many people are just getting this plain wrong. You surely cant atempt a one size fits all attitude toward how you play footy.. You must surely endeavor to develop 'elements" of game styles which you link together according to the opposition and flow of the game on the day. Having saif that a particular strategy does appear this half back led springing attack. If he ( DB) is concentrating onthis then hes barking up the wrong tree with current cattle. By all means attempt to develop it as an 'element" but not the whole kit and kaboodle ! I agree DC versatility is the key and that required having mastered many of the games basics,... some of which we do abysmally

the red that Barrass and Scwabby displayed on the older jumper.. If you happened to be at the summit you will know.. Its form the halcyon days of the late 50's And im not saying was last years jumper at all... nice straw effort there.
-
of crying out...if youre justsaying this to have a black /white effort then do carry on .. This is a global company were talking about here... Not Mrs Nutties Knitwear !! They make apparel for any number of sporting codes around the world. You name it thy probably make it...and yet for some reason they cant get a Red right ?? Give me a break RPFC and yes.. anyone whos making any case for why they're failing by definition is an apologist.. get used to it.
-
oh this is just rubbish ..fair dinkum.,....its not the first time theyve made sporting apparel..its not not theyve just come onto the market as a company.. Why does everyone want to be an apologist for a company thats just not getting it right.. Strangely appropriate for this team though Newsflash.. NB havent got it right.. they ought o...theyve @#$!ed up. I can remeber back to the Summit and Barrass and Schwabby made a very big deal about a jumper they had to hand...and that red is nothing like that which parades the grounds presently.. Ironically its a fushia like tone for a fushia like team ITS NOT THE RIGHT RED !!

Should we trade for some 26-27 year olds?
beelzebub replied to ICU2 Jerry Jerry's topic in Melbourne Demons
Any body notice that 26 yo that snuck in then ? -
Is this all out of sync with current FD Issues ? I think upon inspection they mirror quite well. At seasons end the link between FD and Board lost. Preseason 2011 and into Nab a style is perpetuated from 2010 that strikes many as at odds with not only the current game but our list. NAB finishes.. Were looking a bit dodgy despite good injury situation. Board looking(apparently) to instill Stynes/McLardy as Board/ FD liaison. Andrews report leaves questions regarding FD Season 2011starts with a fit and spurt for Demons Team continues with a little success but a game style resembling a train wreck Cometh Bad Thursday and Fallout Friday, eyebrows and temperatures rise in unison appalled at insipid efforts This week Stynes out of the shadows and into the coaches den. Hmm I'd say it all marries somewhat

is it not good that a) they made him do that ? or B) that he needed it ?

Im a member I dont recall anything about the Directorship being mentioned other than the relinquishing of that post by Leoncelli due to other commitments. The club isnt often coy these days about routine appointments and yet all this has seemingly happening by stealth. I just have this nagging sense of rewritten history.. Theres a lot of smoke around and people are putting out fires ..... but embers will be embers !!
-
smoke...mirrors D McL is generally acepted to be JS's understudy for many roles. Im sure if that had wanted to press on earlier then Don would have done so until Jims health improved , if that had been the issue. Theres an old adage...judge not by what a person says...but by what they do. What the clubs done is purely a "reaction" to various preceptors. You might load the gun at any time...but is when you shoot and what you aim for that have the greatest impact.
-
my...isnt that a curiosity . Its amazing what hides in plain sight
-
A valid question... but McLardy is co-appointee here so if health was the worry he (DMcL) would surely have stepped in to start proceedings ? Im not particulalry fussed about any argument as to when it was all instigated . Im sure that probably it was thought of and pre-armed some time ago. I think, as I said before , that the club probably had the idea it could all startup and mesh in a gentlemanly manner and paced time-frame. And then they realised it couldnt...and hit the button, and hit the button hard.
-
That was far too logical a post....dont do it again...you'll confuse them all
-
want to buy a bridge ?? That is pure spin and damage control. To beleiee otherwise is foolhardy and youre welcome to do so. I wont argue at what point the actual appointment was made. Though that in itself to me make me even more curious that had it been made the other day. Someone had an inkling that all was not right. My impression is that with the pending release of the Andrews report maybe they didnt want to upset anyone too early. Maybe they second guessed the take that the media would have of it and thought to go slowly slowly. That was...until Bad Thursday and Fallout Friday !! Then their hand was forced. There is , to me, obviously a lot more going on about all this than we're ever likely to know for some time. A wheel has fallen of the footy depts wagon. Quite possibly the Board thought all things being equal they could push the new role into place with all parties' cogs meshing into place without to much jarring. Then it all threw a hissy fit. Something gave. The Andrews report , by all accounts, and this hasnt been refuted anywhere to my knowledge , identifies the football dept as the only real unknown. It was this notion that prompted the board to re-establish the football directorship ( and why this was allowed to go fallow is anyones') and use this conduit to better understand the current state of machinations within the boiler -room. Timelines are interesting and forensics use them to establish the bonefide of events as opposed to their appearance. Why was the GO button only pushed AFTER the most recent board meeting.. why werent Stynes/Mclardy installed into operational mode prior to this... what bus were they waiting for ? ( the same one Baileys looks to be awaiting by all accounts !! ) Looks like , sounds like, walks like .......

Ill keep it going in this thread..as its really only a different take on it.. Stynes Role old news according HUN Well the gist is that the Board ratified the Stynes McLardy role back in MArch and not the recent one. Quite frankly Mike its all a bit sooki la la from you and the HUN surely Until yesterday no one really knew any of this outside of the club. And now we do..Caro broke the story ..you lot were sitting on your @rses. The reality is when it was inaugurated is less relevant than when its been enacted. Its totally relevant for mine that its being seen to be done at a point when the clubs fortunes are waning on the field. The assertion that any animosity between the various parties is a beat up well may be the fact but to an outsider it certainly looks like the club has a problem. Anywhich way its packaged something cant be quite right otherwise no actionwould be required at all. Personally I se teh HUN article more as some form of redress attempting to claim the higher ground. The AGED in this instance made the news available the HUN did nada...they get the choccies this time Mike...suck it up mate. None of this changes the reality things need to change and Jimma is stepping in to kick start it.

yes.... very interesting )

hes a split personality.... live wire or lazy annoys the sh!t out of me to tell you the truth. Mr Inconsistency

RN...very correct in noting there is real leadership at Melbourne..unfortunately its off field and not on it....oh that we should have someone like Jimma currently taking to the field !! Hindsight is a wonderful thing.. we do miss Junior terribly Take command Jim
-
Dead right..out of the fires can come the hero..)
-
Ok...all this talk of leadership...all this desire for a sound older head who just gets it done, who leads by example, who is looked upon for not just his game-day ability but off filed mentoring leads me to a certain individual already on our list yet to fire a shot for the Dees....... Looking forward to when he does though

ought to be rethreaded as 720-1080-1440 + just going in circles !!

I think anything of note that maters will from now on carry , if approved, a seal with letters JS !!..everything...until it all is sorted and able to run on its own feet.

gee 5 mins..i dont think so.. hes been around the trrap a lot longer than 5 mins.. This time hes been here since early Nov. Time to take his charges through a full preseason... OUr defensive structure looks casual at best...shoddy at worst...often a lot less effective that a defense that was saluted as amongst the better going around. That would hardly been attributed to us currently. Scott came to us with glowing praise.. cant see much for it personally Am very unsure as to how good or bad Mahoney is as our forward line doesnt get much of a lok in. I thin structurally it leaves room for improvement but thatmaysimplyhappen with a decent big forward. Williams as our Ball Movement coach...wellour ball movement is crap at times.. enough said theres a trend
