  1. that is in the end.If Rivers leaves there is a value ascribed by the AFL to this occurence. Im still leaning that there is A compensation should your losses be more than your gains, others suggest its piecemeal . Either way the only compensatory value is provided for by the Leauge.
  2. Hes perfectly entitled to put himself first. Why wouldnt you . This is your job sts.
  3. Some still dont get it. Its irrelevent where or how Jared goes to another club. OUR compensation is provided by the AFL thats it
  4. thats right. Some just dont seem to grasp this FA too well .
  5. Hey, they're not looking terribly hard at us currently. Fine with that !! lol
  6. Again, you seem to have little understandiing of how all this operates. We are dealing in the world of sports. We are dealing at the upper end of things here. No one will have come into this agreement with the intention of one party duping the other. Without dount Davey got a very , very good deal upon last negotiating. More luck him I suppose. However, all such contractrs invariably revolve around conditions being met by both or either party. No one is going to handing over enormous sums without some safeguards nor any sportsperson going to accept them without their own. A contract can ONLY be a contract when its fair to both parties. Immediately its not by definition its void. The criteria for this will have been built into the agreement between Davey and the Club ( as it is in all such dealings ) Davey's remuneration will have been built upon a formula that took into consideration base payments, match payments and a performance kicker of some description ( these latter two are what often varies a lot ) It is beholdent upon Davey to have himself in such a condition to meet and honour al lthat which hes agrees to as it is for hte club to provide what ever support and opportunities were agreed upon. If Aaron cant play to the level hes being paid for then he will have the opportunity to agree to terms suitable for both parties. Please note there is nothing particualry new about any of this anf such contracts and terminations happen across many a vocation. Osilik the manner in which you present your view is both ignorant of this and as RPFC suggests naive of intent.
  7. your only excuse for such a ridiculous comment is that youre 12yoif not you dont have much of a clue im affraid.
  8. and what tactic would that be ....
  9. I think Mike suffers from Senior Demontia
  10. you cant include Rivers in any deals. FA works OUTSIDE of normal trading/dealing can we get this clear for all
  11. like i suggest clever clogs. They would be able to come to an agreement to end the contract to both parties satisfaction.clam down..take a bex
  12. His contract like a few others was somewhat front loaded which is why we have the space now
  13. think about it ( yes I know )
  14. Id actually give this some credence. If for no other reason than astute trading why broadcast your intentions to all and sundry. Thats amateur hour.
  15. Recent times at teh club remind me of building/renovating. You can come into a job having done as much inspection and planning as you can only to be be met with those "surprises" that we all know. They being where things are just a bit/lot worse than you anticpated and you then realise you have a lot , LOT , more work ahead just to get to the point where you can start the 'new' work. In Real Estate speak Melbourne was a "renovators delight"........ in the trade its a D9 !!!
  16. Just a hypothetical but thered be nothing stopping the two parties coming to a deal for an early end to his contract. That or find something esle for him to go onto within the club etc. That is if it was a desirable ongoing for those concerned.. Hes had a fair amount of coin over the journey he ought to be well set up.
  17. You cant really separate the influence of FA now to Trade week. One may precipitate events at the other. Some players may pre-empt events others might watch and wait. All things are joined
  18. yep.. and hes entitled to.Whilst Riv might be weighing his. I suspect WE are the ones weighing Jordans !!
  19. lol.In fairness Riv is in the upper half at the club. Im not sure what that says more about though ? I would think it nigh on impossible for Riv to fill Matty's boots so I can only suppose he would be playing a support role in Defence , possibly, at the Cattery. Gys has done 2/3 of 3/5 of not much. What many need , i feel , to understand is it's all but irrelevent what player X might do at another club if they dont do it at ours. Rivs case is probably different, just seeking different climes with a chance of finals. Fair enough. Come home when ya finished
  20. There's been a few Sally Robbins types at the club I suspect
  21. All good stuff really Some will and some wont, some can and some cant. Rid ourselves of the wont and cants and invest in new will and cans. Not overnight but it will happen
  22. I find it perfectly hilarious that everyone wants us to get better, that in order for this to happen things have to change, but when changes actually start to manifest so many get coy and hesistant.. In all honesty Rivers is , whilst probably no dount amongst our better players for the year hardly irreplacable. Many of us have thought he could have gone years ago so its hardly the end of the world . One door closes another opens. Change means change... ommelettes and eggs etc. We're a struggling club that has to make big decision and brave moves in order to wrest ourselves from the maliase that perennially engulfs us. Good luck Jared
  23. ah ...hangon mr Nasher.. Your post goes to the root of all evil ( football observationalist -wise) ....statistics. A number tells a very limited story, whilst a picture tells a vast one. So much about football is nuance.
  24. amongst our masses I have no doubt
  25. thats all you neeeded to say Jadedwe all know the other stuff...but at the end of the day it doesnt matter Were Demons. Were Demons yesterday, Were Demons Today and we will be tomorrow
