  1. don't forget @SthSea22's mcadam retirement rumour, @WERRIDEE bowey into the mfc back 6, plugger mac to the pines, howes into the casey back 6 i'd have tholstrup on the mfc bench over sharp at this stage too
  2. once sportsbet have approved it
  3. started the season like a house on fire every time he went down holding his shoulder i held my breath thinking 'there goes his season' every time he got up, shrugged off the trainers, and carried on warrior
  4. tom gets it right more often than not scoops manure, on the other hand...
  5. yr mail has been suspect this year
  6. interesting that verrall seems to be training with the backs?
  7. franchise gonna franchise no soul whatsoever
  8. truly one of the worst pieces of design imaginable
  9. pete ryan has cast his eye over the likely candidates https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/the-melbourne-job-who-could-the-club-chase-to-be-their-next-ceo-20241112-p5kpxw.html
  10. yairs, but that's cos we are rusted on nutters demonland nuffies; unite!
  11. alca ceo currently, yeah? has been under siege this year in particular
  12. terrible timing for anyone with family on a school night, particularly in the middle of winter against interstate sides 3.20pm sunday is great - the game isn't quite as cold as there's still sunlight in the first half at any rate, free to air coverage so better for club value, and the game is more likley to be between two sides c7 want to broadcast so less chance of it being us vs an interstate side sunday at 1pm is when we want to be playing the likes of the franchises and even meth coke pulled a good crowd at that time this year by comparison with, say, our gw$ match-up in arctic conditions on a saturday evening when virtually no one came
  13. gerard healy offered up two names - justin rodski (current melbourne storm ceo, ex-peptides cmo) and greg swann (currently bears ceo, afl admin veteran) as two names he seemed more certain that rodski is talking to us, but flagged swann as someone we should be talking to, or that the afl might want to bring back in house as part of dil and laura's exec team several people i've spoken to today about rodski rate him enormously highly
  14. depends on the value and intentions of kalani white, which will be clearer by early part of 2025 given our history, not outside the realms of possibilities
  15. one of the craziest notions imaginable you want him as part of the program, not removed from it
  16. it will be interesting to see he wants to be a forward / ruck, judging from the comments by jeff this morn
  17. this was exactly as had been forecast all along, and as the white family have made it clear that he will approach his draft year the expectation is he'll make a decision by early in the new year the fact that the twins are NOT joining the gold coast academy - at least that was the last bit of news about them - indicates to me that kalani might not be on the gold coast beyond 2025 with the changes to draft points allocation etc. and the plethora of players gc17 have available to them in the draft next year - including the prospective #1 pick - they may not prioritise having access to kalani
  18. jeff white was interviewed on sen this morning, primarily about his new app however, he did mention that kalani will train with the mfc and then gc17 in the coming months he has a big decision to make jeff is such a proud dad; warms the cockles i'm going to be devastated if kalani opts to choose gc17; fortunately they seem to have about FIVE academy picks that they might have access to in 2025, including likely #1 pick zeke uweland i am hoping, with the change to points value etc, that gc17 won't have the ability to prioritise white over him and others
  19. kid is built like a brick outhouse, but he needs to improve his disposal significantly to make it imo
  20. not if they're at 440pm in the middle of winter at the mcg they ain't
  21. much like playing the two adelaide-based teams in gil's round, who plays in the northern states opening round should be shared around all clubs it won't be of course - the filth are going to feature in it as often as the afl can shoehorn them into it
