It's a completely radical rule change, making it a certainty Viney will be nominated. In most people's opinions we're fortunate in that he's expected to be worth it.

Boak would be not just our best midfielder but a terrific leader on and off the field too. He's not super quick but his skills and vision are outstanding. He can play inside and outside. But I'll wager it's Geelong or the Power for him.

when he was 'on' - which was usually for about 2 quarters in 14 - the games seemed to move in slow motion around travis. there was one game where he got the ball deep in the back pocket, had three players bearing down on him from different angles, and worked his way out of the jam like they were standing still not charging him to deliver a 50m bullet to a free man on the wing. just breath taking. but, as i say, it was 2 in 14, if we were lucky. i'll takes grimes any day of the week over roller.

Tigers were apparently happy to have him for a season then execute a trade to Crows or the Power. For what it's worth I believe we got pick 12 for him, which we traded to Geelong for Moloney.

Viney is going to be a valuable selection anywhere after the first two really. The kid is rated very highly and will be worth whatever pick we end up having to use to draft him. If we don't pick him I'll be very disappointed, cos everything I've been told about him makes him sound worth it.

I wouldn't say he's exactly what we need, but he's not far off. He's a mid who can win his own ball and kick goals. I'll take him! But I think it'll be Port or Geelong. Plus they'll want the world for him - deservedly so, as he's their best player by a long way.

Who can tell. Bennell is another good example - plays well down back as a running linkman for Casey, comes into the Dees, plays as a sub who gets to spend time as a small forward when on the ground.

Davey's contract may have a year to run, but he CAN'T run anymore. His body is cactus. He and the club will come to an agreement to end it at 2012. Swap Bennell and Bate around - Jamie has more upside than the big red prawn, unreliable as his disposal may be - and it's hard to disagree with any of the above. I'd probably delist Bail too, actually. His skill level is atrocious.

Travis is a gun, but the only player on our list that would be an acceptable trade for him in Port's eyes would be Trengove. That's how highly rated he is down Alberton way. He doesn't have the breakaway speed that we desperately need, but he does have the ball-getting and goal-kicking ability that we also desperately need. I think if any club was going to get him it would be Geelong...but it's a moot point as I can't see him leaving the Power.

Just to be contrarian, save fpr the injury to Jurrah, i'd like to see an unchanged side. leave em all in, tell em to turn it around.
