  1. Viney is going to be a valuable selection anywhere after the first two really. The kid is rated very highly and will be worth whatever pick we end up having to use to draft him. If we don't pick him I'll be very disappointed, cos everything I've been told about him makes him sound worth it.
  2. at least he's being called out, and everything that's said on here is neatly summarised for the general populace as to how our supporter base is feeling about a player who has not stagnated but actually gone backwards since his debut season. it's terribly disappointing. we need our early draft picks to be stars. not one of them is.
  3. Hird has his traditional mid-season sour puss face on. Once more the season has reached the halfway mark and they've fallen in a hole. Brilliant.
  4. I wouldn't say he's exactly what we need, but he's not far off. He's a mid who can win his own ball and kick goals. I'll take him! But I think it'll be Port or Geelong. Plus they'll want the world for him - deservedly so, as he's their best player by a long way.
  5. Who can tell. Bennell is another good example - plays well down back as a running linkman for Casey, comes into the Dees, plays as a sub who gets to spend time as a small forward when on the ground.
  6. Can run, can mark, CANNOT KICK. Yet another Dee with despicable disposal.
  7. Davey's contract may have a year to run, but he CAN'T run anymore. His body is cactus. He and the club will come to an agreement to end it at 2012. Swap Bennell and Bate around - Jamie has more upside than the big red prawn, unreliable as his disposal may be - and it's hard to disagree with any of the above. I'd probably delist Bail too, actually. His skill level is atrocious.
  8. can someone provide a link to knightmare's mock draft, please?
  9. Travis is a gun, but the only player on our list that would be an acceptable trade for him in Port's eyes would be Trengove. That's how highly rated he is down Alberton way. He doesn't have the breakaway speed that we desperately need, but he does have the ball-getting and goal-kicking ability that we also desperately need. I think if any club was going to get him it would be Geelong...but it's a moot point as I can't see him leaving the Power.
  10. Just to be contrarian, save fpr the injury to Jurrah, i'd like to see an unchanged side. leave em all in, tell em to turn it around.
  11. What's happened to the mobile version of the site for members? I'm getting the full web experience on my mobile, which is harder to read.
  12. seems kaspersky is staying involved with football - now the coaches' partner at collingwood.
  13. 39 possessions last week, but that's a rarity for him. Quick and a good kick. Would love to bend the Crows over and get him for that mid-round 1 pick.
  14. We will be forced to use our first pick, and that's fine. The kid is a gun. The team that's likely to get the absolute bargain is Essendon - Joe Daniher would be the meat in the Whitfield and Viney sandwich at picks 1, 2 and 3. He's going to be a great player.
  15. good result. be interested to know the $$ value. hopefully another will come on board for our next home game.
  16. petterd dropped too, alongside bennell and macdonald. agree with chook - petterd has the ability to be a game-breaker, but he really does go hot and cold
  17. Billy has been on the horizon for about 3 years now, developing nicely. Fingers crossed he's the goods.
  18. I don't think in the scenario of finishing 16th we get pick #9 as our mid-round one compensatory pick - it's after all other teams outside the 8 have used their picks, I think. As the Dogs have elected to use their after their round 1 selection pick for Ward, it'd be pick #13 assuming they finish outside the top 8 as well. I think GC17 have one too, but theirs is tied to where Adelaide finish, and they should - on balance - be a top 8 side.
  19. yeah, we're in big, big trouble in 2012. neeld and his (mostly) new-look panel have inherited a basket-case both on- and off-field. this could be in excess of 150 the diff the way it's going.
  20. well, i'm perhaps more pessimistic than you. our brand has taken a horrific beating since '186', and i don't know how it can recover.
