  1. err, no, intended to be their second forward and ruck, broke down with another knee injury.
  2. really hoping he can nail himself a spot in the side. very curious to see how they're going to use him. he's been back and forward at casey yes, as well as a bit of a time in the middle?
  3. Harrison Wigg from SA will likely be in that 15-25 group. Classy left footer.
  4. Not injured, just not a great footballer. Port have built their forward line around Schultz, the Hoff and a rotation of about 6 mids, Butcher just gets in the way and doesn't contribute defensively.
  5. I don't think acute appendicitis explain his footballing deficiencies. However, perhaps the time off will allow him to rest and refocus for a big summer on the track. 2015 looms as a big year for Jimmy.
  6. No way GC will give up their Superboot.
  7. yes, but i can't exaclty see the swans giving him up. i would also be amazed if mitchell is available/
  8. not for 2015, if he's not being spoken to at all re development, you would think. in saying that, i'm not sure i believe you. there's a reason we have roos leading up an expanded coaching team, and that's to provide development and guidance. perhaps the son of your co-worker, olc, simply does not like the feedback he's being given.
  9. Good luck to em both getting better.
  10. I've heard the Dogs are more interested in Patton, but the rumour re Boyd not liking being up north has been mentioned since his debut. Our favourite worm, Barrett, has even alluded to it.
  11. They won't get one, we won't get one. Was discussing it with a mate last night, guaranteed that only the northern markets teams will get one in future years!
  12. I asked my bombers-supporting buddy whether, given our record over the last eight years, we deserved a pp. Even she, who thinks Hird has done nothing wrong and the bombers are doing the right thing by the competition fighting those scurrilous charges of taking peds, agrees that we probably DO! However, we both agreed that the next club to actually get a pp would be one of Brisbane, gc17, gws or the swans. Northern markets, after all, require protection!
  13. It's more his body shape and running style - and that he's relatively quick but doesn't look it - that reminds me of Swan. We can but hope he's as good! (I'd also settle for him being as good as Dangerfield.)
  14. Those afl fantasy - formerly dream team - numbers are taking into account frees for and against, which are +1 and -3 respectively. Would reduce likely 'scores' a bit I would wager.
  15. I see Swan. Low centre of gravity and legs that go faster than they appear to.
  16. Any stats for the game yet? Any word on Toumpas?
  17. And as seen by his mark and goal against Vic country I think it was, he can compete in the air. Looks taller than he is said to be.
  18. No dramas with Sydney having access to Heeney. It's like a father-son selection, ultimately, and they've invested big time in their academy (save for reducing Roos' pay packet by three-quarters - which worked out well for us!). He's probably the best mid in the draft and they'll get him for a late first rounder. We got Viney for a second rounder, Daniher cost a mid 1st round, Moore will likely go to Pies for a late first round. Swings and roundabouts.
  19. Yes, probably, but I expect we will finish above gws in the long run, and they'll pick him.
  20. Still think Petracca will be gone by the time we have a selection. Brayshaw's ability to deliver off both sides of his body is a huge plus.
  21. Tigers supporter mate of mine was moaning that winning against the likes of the Lions yesterday was costing them draft position. I sad he sounded like a Melbourne / Carlton supporter.
  22. Loving that he's playing like he is. Always thought he could be a very good player. Good luck to him.
  23. very disappointing performance tonight.
