  1. tigers are good to watch i think. they are a bit like us in that they've been super-competitive in nearly every game (bar the crows for them). dimma is rightly being hailed as he's completely revolutionised their game style over one summer, where they're now playing with run and dash, and only have 1 tall forward (riewoldt) supported by five small runners (rioli, butler, castagna, lloyd, and now bolton) and as such their forward pressure is also really strong.
  2. Two teams playing at their home ground. Very poor.
  3. Have they announced the crowd yet?
  4. Saints look so much better without McCartin
  5. saints look on - great attack on the ball and the man. kangas' skills pretty poor.
  6. Shuey and Mitchell should both be suspended Selwood didn't appeal for deliberate; he showed the maggot that he wasn't tackling a bloke who looked like he was playing for a free And i don't understand the hate for Dangerfield; he's a brilliant footballer and seems like an affable, intelligent person* *He's still not Clayton Oliver...
  7. Robbing Peter to pay Paul
  8. Crows supporters super confident Lever is going nowhere; just waiting for cba to be settled Those doubting the value of Weed need their heads read; key position talls are pretty rare these days, look at the value and desire for Schache as an example...plus Weed is going nowhere seeing as he recently signed til end of 2019 and will be a huge part of our forward structure in coming years
  9. This should be one of the rounds of the year Every game - even pear v bears - should be tough to predict
  10. I think the other key thing is our high attendance rate of members (or you could look at it as our high supporter to member rate...or if negative low supporter base). We've hit 40k+ for the first time ever and generally get around 27-35k fans in attendance at the G; if we do have some woodwork supporters who will come out as we (presumably, hopefully) start to have some sustained success we could push towards 50k in the next few years.
  11. When is the cut off?
  12. interesting you say this - tim lane on the pregame 3aw coverage on monday was calling it the original contrived blockbuster, from when games were drawn out of a hat (apparently?), it was always amazing how melbourne-collingwood got miraculously 'drawn' to be on qb.
  13. as a matter of interest, how long does he have - are rookies on one or two year contracts, and after a second year then they have to be upgraded to the main list or dropped off? it feels like mitch white has been a rookie for eons!
  14. he doesn't do enough for my liking kicked a lovely goal, but he gets a lot of the ball and turns it over (nearly) as much as much as taylor adams, burns his teammates, and doesn't offer nearly enough defensive coverage a good player, but the raving over his performances is over the top for mine
  15. arguably one of his best five games for the club...and he could very well be dropped due to team balance next week if gawn or spencer come back in
  16. 6 - Jones 5 - Petracca 4 - Watts 3 - Oliver 2 - Hunt 1 - Tyson
  17. IN: Gawn / Spencer, Wagner OUT: O Mac, Harmes
  18. this. i'm packing it at the moment.
  19. sounds ideal for a zone defence to me
  20. Docherty was pick 12, so better make that more than ten players inside top 15.
  21. great result can't stand gw$
  22. and simpson. their list is not nearly as bad as ours was under neeld for instance
  23. carlton should be this good tho. when cripps, kreuzer, gibbs, murphy, daisy, weitering, marchbank, plowman etc. etc are all up and about they're good - their top echelon talent is seriously talented.
  24. he's a free agent so all he'd cost is salary cap space. he's a pretty good player who, as others have said, can play a role forward, back, and in the ruck. i'm all for trengove over reid or tippett for instance...lever is the dream
