What the Fritsch
Natural footballer He’s just so good watch as a wingman; he’s gone from a third option forward mid-sizer playing as a tall to an absolutely outstanding wingman

Changes v Collingwood
The logical fit for Lever is one of Frost, Kielty, or J Smith, unless they go with a runner like Hunt Smith and Melksham are in doubt so you’d think Pedo or Weid for Smith and possibly Garlett or Balic for Milkshake... I’m going to go with Hunt, Weideman and Garlett if all three miss, and hopefully just Hunt for Lever Man it’s dee-pressing to lose Lever

Dom Tyson
i don't know if he is best 22, but he's definitely best 25 we lose one inside mid and i'd wager he'd be straight in, although it's great that the likes of stretch are now adding inside ball winning to their skills at vfl level i think he's worth more to us than he is in a trade - he's sort of like lambert was at tigers for a while, before he locked down a spot, and like how miles has been forced from that side he'd be starting midfield rotation at a succession of other clubs, and i'd personally rather have him as a player able to come in rather than losing him for anything outside of a top 25 pick, and if it was 20-25 i'd be pretty disappointed, as players who've played 80 odd games and are as young as he is are fairly valuable

If Don didn’t deliver a pick inside 25 I wouldn’t consider it Midfield depth is key to winning games of football

As a matter of interest, what’s the vibe with Bradtke? FWIW I asked some scouts about him and they said he was a completely unknown quantity Yet fellow students at his school say he is as naturally talented as the King twins, [censored] both expected to go top five in this draft What’d Taylor say? edit: it is ABSURD that who’re if it doesn’t have an apostrophe in it gets censored...it is an actual word ffs

both meth coke and the jokers will offer hogan a mega-sized contract no matter what we do what's interesting is that, at this stage, he WON'T be a free agent at the next contract negotiation of course, it's not within the realms of possibilities that the afl will arbitrarily declare that his pre-listing year on our list counts, or that 6 years is the new free agency marker, or what have you make hay while the sun shines with hogan; the story is gonna be there every year that one of the wa sides is into him in a big, big way cos he's a mega-sized talent

What’s really changed since our last loss?
t mac back in has allowed us to play our preferred structure of two tall forwards rotating higher up and playing deeper, as evidenced during the pre-season - losing him prior to the start of the year would've thrown our whole planning for a loop that 'third tall' has gone from pedo to weed to bull smith in five weeks plus we've also changed our structure further by dropping a patchy garlett and playing fritsch higher up the ground, meaning melksham, hannan and spargo are the nominal 'small' forwards, with petracca moving in and out of the forward system as opposed to primarily mid / fwd, he's now more fwd / mid since half-time of the essendon game we've had brayshaw as part of the inside mid rotation, and now tyson is no longer part of it with viney's return, plus salem has done down back to a more of a defensive rebounder role, and jones who started the year more playing the wings has gone back to his traditional inside role with stints on the outside, instead of vice-versa speaking of which, defensively we've gone quite small, and relied upon zonal coverage from the likes of lever, jetta, and hibberd in particular, and then had lewis, salem and vince providing the kicking out of the backline, with the run-and-carry roles really handed over to hibberd in particular with hunt relegated to vfl level i would imagine we are a hard team to counter because of the diversity of roles that players can perform

The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan
funnily enough, you could argue hogan has become the sort of player stringer was - capable of getting up and down the ground, playing thru the midfield, impacting the scoreboard, bringing his teammates into the play, taking great contested grabs, and generally dominating as a modern day forward
