  1. pear will be coming off a short break too if this is the case
  2. 15k tops i would think
  3. meanwhile, doubts already beginning about the quality of this year's draft crop https://www.sen.com.au/news/2021/07/01/why-some-afl-recruiters-believe-the-upcoming-draft-could-be-a-bit/ It’s been a bit disappointing the recruiters are saying, the (national underage) championships are starting very shortly so we’ll get a good gauge on it.
  4. dogs are a high scoring side = more goals = more ads = more revenue for ch 7
  5. really interested by gw$ midfield mix and that they're clearly intending to go head to head with us gawn / jackson - oliver - petracca - viney - harmes - jordon - sparrow plus langdon - brayshaw on the wings vs mumford / flynn - taranto - ward - hopper - green - kennedy - perryman plus kelly - whitfield on the wings winning the contest will go a long way toward winning the game, you'd think
  6. about to sign a long-term deal with gc17 from all reports i would've thought, this weekend, that my tips would've been: tiggas puddy tatts us bears carltank pear swans aints footscray hoping like blazes that gc17 can win tonight but it doesn't look likely
  7. david king was frothing about him tonight on 360 then they talked about how exciting the peptides' kids are... lol
  8. the vic 2022 election should be interesting - o'brien (or, more likely, his replacement) will undoubtedly make it a 'lockdown election' and the result may give an indication as to what effect the murdoch approach to screaming anti-labor sentiment at every opportunity actually has in reality
  9. mostly deviated septums, surely...
  10. fritsch is our leading goalkicker, he plays as a tall but isn't a tall, he's great on the lead but not contested marks, and he runs his socks off every week to power up and down the ground for all that...he's the logical 'out' for sideshow bob...but i can't see it happening
  11. this is why i have dr. d on ignore; his doom and gloom is positively exhausting we'll all be 'rooned, said hanrahan!
  12. heppell is their jones - just a good loyal honest citizen and a no muss no fuss skipper
  13. i don't think we're a 'sexy' side compared to footscray, the bears, or even the peptides, who are all high attack, high scoring teams we're more grinders who stop the oppo scoring and keep them at arm's length from us; it's why we don't score super heavily but neither do our opposition i don't think there's any doubt that we are very well respected by oppo coaches etc because they're trying to work out how to stop us stopping them - they have to play high risk, high reward football to take us on, which is obviously fraught with danger given how well we are set up defensively i'd rather be respected by other football clubs than the media
  14. Cal Twomey has Mac Andrew as the 12th best prospect in the national draft … Cal Twomey's Phantom Form Guide: Best draft prospects ranked Mac Andrew Ruckman 200cm/70kg 12/4/03 Dandenong Stingrays/Vic Country It was Andrew's start to the season that caught the eye of scouts, with the Dandenong Stingrays big man putting in some exciting performances as an athletic ruckman who can also follow up at ground level. He blitzed the opening game of the season with 22 disposals, six clearances and 11 hitouts against Gippsland and continued in the same vein to be selected for the NAB AFL Academy's VFL clash. Concussion ruled him out in recent weeks. Andrew, who was born in Egypt and whose parents are South Sudanese, is tied to Melbourne's Next Generation Academy but the Dees won't get to match a bid if it comes inside the first 20 picks.
  15. juh's interest in afl is, anecdotally, about the edges of the afl lifestyle rather than an afl life in an of itself as beveridge has alluded to, he needs to get serious about being an afl player before he'll be an afl player
  16. geelong or ballarat i suspect same could be true for the meth coke game
  17. i received an email from the mfc, the afl, and ticketek yesterday telling me when tix were on sale
  18. only foreseeable change is sideshow bob in for... i honestly have no idea sparrow is the usual suspect in terms of in / out changes
  19. didn't stringer have nearly half his possessions and scoreboard impact in the first quarter alone? he ran out of puff, as is standard and in relation to the 'who is our next hibberd?' the homegrown answer is trent rivers (who is slightly taller but less chunky than pig), the import option is brayden maynard (who is basically the filth's hibberd currently)
  20. Hoping they continue to strive to finish mid table and do themselves out of a high pick I wish nothing but mediocrity upon them
  21. reminded me of the win over swans - just grinding away til we got the 4 points
  22. 6: lever 5: may 4: salem 3: petracca 2: brayshaw 1: oliver
  23. Sam make stuff up? Well, I never…
